Martin

QV are a specialist in the UK, I doubt they are buying them from Ferrari UK to supply to the US unless they can't be sourced locally?

Michael

I'm going to QV tomorrow, they have my F355 at the moment, i'll chase Phil for you, I assume you have paid Lyle not QV??

I've been dealing with Phil and Mike at QV for a number of years now and they are honest people, if you have paid them, your money is safe!

Michael-
If you dont mind me asking, what where you going to pay for the (I assume) 360 Challange wheels? Lyle is not a dealer, and not a Ferrari parts department. He does not even keep an inventory.

Can our very own Wheel Kenetics or Exotic Car World get challange wheels for you? At least then you don't need to worry about getting the run around.

Martin,

That's what I was saying. If they had trouble finding a set for Michael, they should have told him that right out and offered a refund if he couldn't wait any longer. It sounds like, from Michael's point of view, that he was not dealt with honestly and expeditiously. Yeah, I know what it's like to deal with third, fourth, or even fifth parties in transactions.

WILLIS,
I Believe Michael is referring to Lyle Tanner (in CA) with whom I have done busines and is a honest guy who tries his best. Trouble is he is dealing with Ferrari UK who then if part is not in stock has to turn to F SPA etc etc

Michael,

It does sound like you got the runaround on this deal for the wheels. Who's Lyle?

It should never be "a favor" when they've received money from you. This is a business transaction. If they have trouble locating a set, then they should have told you that instead of giving you stories. Three months is a long wait for a set of rims. Can you get your money back?

Whoa, easy on the caps there, Michael!

About waiting forever, regular services were 2 day deals for me. And service cost was reasonable. The exception was an unexpected computer failure at the shop that required the replacement of the instrument cluster. It took them a couple of weeks to trace and rectify the problem under warranty. I was patient and didn't hound them daily on the progress knowing that they had a garage full of other cars to service. It doesn't help being a hothead either.

Could you explain in more detail on what happened, Michael?

Bacchus Auto in Pembroke Pines - Florida. Great guy and works as quick as possible because he needs the space. Always reasonable prices and will tell you exactly what is the case with the car.

DOES IT SEEM AS IF YOU ORDER A PART OR TAKE YOUR
CAR IN FOR SERVICE THAT IF IT IS A FCAR YOU GET
OVER CHARGED OR WAIT FOREVER FOR IT AND THE ATTITUDE IS LIKE THEY ARE DOING YOU FAVOR I HAVE
BEEN LUCKY TO HAVE OWNED A FEW BUT I GET TIRED
OF THE RUN AROUND AND HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT GETTING
OUT OF FERRARIS AS A GROUP WHY CANT WE GET A LIST
TOGETHER OF THE GOOD AND REWARD THEM WITH BUSNESS
AND THE BAD SO THAT WE AVOID THEM OR IS THIS TOO
LOFTY A GOAL THAT WE SHOULD GET GOOD HONEST SERVICE
