Manu,

Thank you for the fast answer and your mail. When I have decided what to do I will definitely come back to you!
By the way just saw that Tubi also produces air filters for Ferraris. Does anyone know something about them? Are they better than K&N? Wouldnt be a bad idea to install them when buying a tubi sport exhaust, I guess. Perhaps someone on the Chat uses them and can tell something.

I wouldn't bank on it. If you're after better lap times around a track, a Tubi (or any other cat-back exhaust) is a waste of money. If you're after the wonderful sound of an extra dozen ego-boosting poneys (whether they exist or not), put a Tubi on, keep your windows down and the pedal to the metal. There's nothing sweeter !

Thanks Manu. Yes it is true that all Tubi's sold in the US are imported by TubiStyle USA, a good and reliable outfit, very closely linked to the factory. On the surface, it looks like we get a lesser deal than euro dealers but by the time you add shipping, handling, US customs, the amazingly good individual packaging done in Michigan, and the good warranty/service provided by TubiStyle, the difference in value is practically inexistant.
Now Frank, if you promise to produce a certificate showing that you drove the 360 back to back to the 348 and repeat for 30 days on this forum that the 360 is the best (and prettiest)street production driver ever made, as well as refrain from using the word "Dino" for 90 days,I might consider giving you a good deal. <g> Give me a call.

Guys - that's the price it WOULD BE IF I COULD SELL in the USA - I CANNOT - we only handle European enquiries.
For Tubi in the USA - Tino is your man - he's a really friendly chap, who is everybit as nice as people say.

Cheers

$1,700 is defintely a great price for Tubi. That's even cheaper than Stebro, which is not stainless and from what I hear, the fit is not that good. $1,700 Tubi is very tempting! Does anyone have the ones from Koenig in Germany?

It really seems to be a good deal. Cheapest tubi for a 348 in Germany was 1900 Euro.
Just decided to make a decision after hearing a tubi in reality. Hope I can manage that by listening around at the next two events here in Germany. I am fearing though that the exhaust sound of a tubi will clearly be louder than the nice engine sound of my V8 which I love very much. Hope you understand: I do not want the exhaust to be louder than the engine itself. If I choose to buy one and Manu can hold the price of around 1700$ including shipping I will definitely choose him.

Jens,
the 20HP is because it is less restrictive so it runs better. I am taking out my CATs soon and put the test pipes in there. That will make a difference of probably more.
In reality the 348TS/TB has 300HP and the Spider is supposed to have 20HP more. I can not tell the difference.

Frank,
call Tino one of the sponsors here. He can hook you up with a new one. He may know also somebody with a used one. Have never seen one used though. I guess people keep them once they have them on.

Tino will definetely make you a good offer though.

I have the Spider exhaust which is a less restrictive than the TS/TB exhaust and thus sounds better. But the Tubi I heard on the 348TS last weekend sounded GREAT !

Frank,

I am also thinking whether to buy a sport exhaust or not. My favourite choice would be a tubi as well because it seems to have the best reputation. Problem is I never heard a tubi in a 348 and I would like to hear the sound before I buy one for my car.
Martin said that it would bring about 20 hp more. I would really like to believe that but I am more than sceptical. What do you think? Furthermore what are the sound differences between Tubi, Ansa and Borla? Questions,questions,questions....

I heard a Tubi on a 348TS at the Italian Car Cruise-In last Saturday and loved the sound. Does anyone out there have a used one for sell ? If so, shoot me an e-mail.
