Basically ther eis no variations in the Spider models. Made from 1994 model year till 19995 when the switch was made to 355. It was probably just a pre-mautre version to test for the 355 Spiders as the mechanism has not changed and allowed Ferrari to get feedback from their customers after doing the big step and building a 2 seater sportscar convertible version after what 20 years? One of the changes to the later 355 was the electric top. I guess that is what most custoemrs were complaining about in modern times.

Mike, no worry. You can never have too much information when it comes to these things anyway.

I'll download the amazon article....heck, 5.50 isn't that much (about $10). Perhaps a 348 guide from Forza is in the works! I'll be disappointed if my next issue has one Mike |

Peter Vack of VelocePress has published an online buyer's guide for the Ferrari 348. It's inexpensive and you can download it at Amazon.com. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005V5B9/202-6575049-5842257 Peter is very knowledgeable when it comes to Ferraris and even though I haven't read it, I'm sure that it will be a valuable tool to anyone considering purchasing a 348tb/ts/spider. |

Thanks. Do you know if the Forza guide is online (like the TR guide or the 246 guide)? Mike |

you can try the forza mag review or any of the 348 buyers guide books. there was not much re options or changes among the spiders from 94 to 95 ie. my 95 spider was actually built in feb of 94. check out the service history on carfax.com also. be wary of low milage cars that dont seem that way as my odometer just broke today and did not register the 200 mile trip i just took! good luck. neal |

Hey guys, I'm considering a 348 spider. can anyone give me a place to find the detailed history on production numbers, different options from year to year, and possibly a buyers guide online (ie. Forza?). thanks Mike |
