I just got back from a 3 week stay in Holland and Pininfarina besides designing the many Fiat's I see there, also designs some Renaults (Hope I spelled that right) Also one interesting thing is on the New Fiat in Europe the word Pininfarina is in italic on the dash |

I think Pininfarina is one of the only current automotive designers to understand classical design. Classic means it's timeless: you can look at it 5, 10, 20, 100 years from now and the art of the design can still be understood and appreciated. Just like the Pantheon, "Guernica", Beethoven, and well... Ferrari. Certainly not like the PT Cruiser, the Thunderbird, and the Beetle. |

Not Pininfarina, but the 308 GT4 looks MUCH better now than it did in the 70's....IMHO it now just looks so much more exotic than it did way back then. |

I was reading a book I have, and the author put it quite well. Some Ferrari purists say a certain design is boring, however, they are only boring when you are comparing them to bigger, more expensive Ferrari's. |

Years ago, I thought the 246 looked like a duck. Now I drool over them. I was just now cruising through E-Bay, and the MONDIAL is starting to catch my eye....Crazy...That car used to make me yawn. Still think the Testarossa looks like a human with a big butt though....time may change that..... |
