I would *love* to have that suite of options. However, I wouldn't buy it until after it was converted and got its papers. My understanding is that the roll bar must be removed in the conversion. The racing seatbelts must be removed and the standard ones installed. The special exhaust might have to be removed. Once you have the papers, you can put all that stuff back on legally... but that's a lot of extra conversion going on... probably extra $$$.

The key issue with a Euro...
* Will your nearby Ferrari dealer service it?
* If not, do you have a nearby auto mechanic that has the equipment to work on it?

With the inability of mechanics to get the SD2, there are some repairs that simply cannot be done; and if your Ferrari dealer won't do it, you'll be shipping it off to one who will.

Ross,
I have a '99 360 euro.This subject has been hashed,re-hashed,retro-hashed etc.Look up under "search"-euro 360.
I would not be concerned with the mileage (11.4k miles).I would be concerned that a car such as this with so much after market racing stuff has been driven hard with a lot of track time.
I would suggest if you are seriously considering this car to have it carefully inspected in Europe before you jump in.
I personally would pass on this car.

How many people on here have euro cars? Have you had any problems after the car has been converted? Has anyone had any dealings with thesmartwarranty company from florida? They are the ones who are offering a extended warranty on euro cars.

thanks

How about the miles? 19K is alot more than most of the other cars i have seen for sale. How much should that affect the value?

Ross:

In my opinion the euro car should not be worth more than $12K-$130K, You can now buy a us model the same car for around $150K-$160K.

No, I do not have the roll bar. Wish I did though, and I am not sure if retro-fitting is possible.

Manu, yes, my cloth inserts are colored. But in my case they are yellow to match the cars exterior color.

PS I haven't forgotten the Tubi manifolds. I'll keep you posted.

The sport seats look great and are a MUST IMO. Ernesto - did you colour the cloth inserts....? Black leather with a red insert looks beautiful.

I love my sport seats! At first I thought they could be a mistake, but they are perfect for the street (and my build). I find them very comfortable for long trips. I did not like the 360 I test drove with the standard seats, as I felt they were not sporty enough for the type of car I was buying.

the car i am looking at has the black interior. Are you happy with the sport seats? Would you consider them preferable over the standard ones?

This is a photo of the sport seats with roll bar, both factory options and available in various finishes and colors - so you have to check on your car's specifics. For example, my sport seats are black leather with some sort of cloth center.

Ross,

Here are a few comments about the described car. Hope this helps.

- Roll bar and lower suspension probably mean that the car has been tracked. This may be fine, however, this may result into some premature wear on some parts such as clutch, rotors, engine...
It also means many paint chip, or other cosmetic issues

- Try to find out what the special exhaust is. Hopefully, this is a tubi. I have a tubi on my new 360 and it sounds great. Not too loud.

- I'm not sure about the price. Subscribe to the ferrari market letter ferrarimarketletter.com to get an idea of the current market prices.

Take your time and remember this is a world wide market.

Do you have a link to a picure of the seats/rollbar? I went to ferrari.com but could not find it. Can anyone give me a realistic idea of what the car is worth?

Thanks

The roll bar is not available in US cars, but you can see a photo in the Ferrari web site. The front and rear challenge grills, xenon lights, cd changer, f1 tranny, and sport seats are factory options. The special exhaust is probably a Tubi or similar and aftermarket, as are the lowering springs.

Hi,

i am selling my 99 viper R/T and have been looking at 360s. I found a 2000 euro car that has some cool options. I was wondering if they were offered from the factory or if they were aftermarket. The car is as follows
2000
challenge grill and shields
special exhaust
racing seats-not sure as to what they look like?
Roll bar- another one i am not too sure about.
xenon headlights
CD
F1 transmission
Lowered with special springs
racing seatbelts.
19K kilometers.
Does anyone here have a car with similar options?
How does the roll bar look? I have never seen one in a factory car and that scares me a little bit. Same thing with the lowering part.
What would be a fair price for this car? I am purchasing it out of the country and am having the conversion done locally. As far as the warranty, the local ferrari dealer referred me to a aftermarket company that writes a 3 year comprehensive warranty for around $4500.
Any input is greatly appreciated as i need to make a decision in the very near future.

Thanks
