Yeh, its the "hidden hitch" option. Maybe you can get one of those brake lights to go in the reciever opening. |

I cant see why someone who can afford a 348 would bastardize it like that. Not only does it look like a 355 kit car as mentioned earlier but its value has just gone down the toilet as a 348. I dont like body kits on hondas or ferraris, I dont think its ok. Especially on a ferrari. |

What's the boxed out area under the back bumper below the license plate... optional trailer hitch? :-) |

I hate to be the one to say this...but why is it that we tend to turn our noses to people who modify their hondas and people who put body kits on them..yet it is alright when we put body kits on our ferrari's? Jason |

Watch out Ed, they are boxing you into a corner. The sixties Corvette Sting Ray was designed by a guy named... Larry Shinoda. |

That looks great for a VeilSide. Have you seen their other kits for other cars? They look like garbage and just make the cars look like Transformer toys. |

The front look F50ish, the rear bumper is so so but I'm sure much lighter than stock, I like the rear tail lamp set up and would keep all else stock. They forgot to add the curb feelers. |

However, though I do like the styling of the kit it is extreamly over priced. At over $17,000.00 for everything shown, I don't think so! As I have said before people will try every chance they have to rip you off just because you have a Ferrari! |

Looks like a 355 caricature. Both Fred and Bill are right on this one. Either keep your 348 the way it is and love it or get a REAL 355. |

That is a pretty tough looking kit. The front and rear bumpers are fantastic. I wonder how much of the designing went into down force, cause the defuser in the back looks like it is functional. The rear tail lights I'm not too keen on, but I do like the spoiler, if it is functional. The missing strakes is probably better for cooling purposes, as I have seen the cars that ran at LeMans ran without them. Being that it is made of carbon fibber, it has to lighten the car up. I don't like the style of the rims, but bigger rims equal better grip. Over all I think it is a very nice body kit and I would put on my car, but I think I would keep it looking like a 348 and keep the side strakes and rear grill. I give it a big thumbs up, and I think it is high time someone finally came out with something like this. |

Amusing to read the thoughts and opinions of F-Chat Members. I also agree with most...the Front and Rear bumpers are nice but all the other pieces are not my taste.. NOBODY guessed the manufacturer correctly.... VEILSIDE is the manufacturer and that's the reason for the "ricer" rims... This body kit is made completely out of "CARBON FIBER" and is pretty reasonably price... Item Price Ferrari 348 Carbon Fiber FB $3,450 Ferrari 348 Carbon Fiber Underside Lip $1,270 Ferrari 348 Carbon Fiber RB $2,900 Ferrari 348 Carbon Fiber RW $2,000 Ferrari 348 Carbon Fiber Front Lip $730 Ferrari 348 Carbon Fiber DP $1,820 Ferrari 348 Carbon Fiber Rear Under Lip $550 Ferrari 348 Carbon Fiber Tail Garnish $1,450 Ferrari 348 Carbon Fiber Tail Light Bracket $550 If anyone is interested...here's a link..I have no affiliation http://www.visionperformance.net/Veilside%20Ferrari.htm

The 355 body mods will likely have the cheese graters back in, make the round lights square and put a black grill over the whole assembly

Interesting. I do not like the faxt that my cheese graters are gone. I do not like the front spoiler that much, a little over the edge. The rear cover does not look like it will let a lot of air escape to cool down the engine. That is the reason why people put Challenge grills on there in the first place. The diffuser looks great. The wing Ricer. The rims: YO MAN! can't get more attention driving through the hood! |

DON'T DO THIS TO YOUR FERRARI. I third, the 355 comments. EVERYONE WILL THINK THIS IS A FIERO that wants to be a 355. Never will they think it's a 348. Hey S.P. post some 355 body mods. |

Ernesto - Ya I have talked to Koenig a lot recently about his kit but he cannot import them to the united states. Thus you have to buy a european 348 with the kit installed then import it according to Walter. I am thinking of fabricating my own system as the price isnt to bad for the turbos and what not if you have the time to do the work youself. Biggest cost is the pistons and engine work. Maybe if the stock market turns around here I will have myself a nice winter project. hehe |

Wheels , front bumper and rear wingare too much IMO . The rear diffuser looks nice and a rear 355 grill woul look even better than this one . the 348 looks best when lowered , with challenge wheels . thats all i would do to mine . |

The extended overhang on the front will exasterbate the ground clearance problems at the nose of the car. The lack of slats on the doors is kinda cool. Chrome wheels are stupid looking--especially on this car. I sorta like the rear wing, but my research on aerodynamics indicates that where it is positioned makes it nore of a apoiler thna a wing. Now if the wing were positioned backwards one chord length, it would be more than 3 times as effective. Unless you want looks over functionality..... If you are going to F355 the rear end, use the F355 rear valence pannel, or the challenge valence pannel. |

Looks really cool. However, why would anyone do this? IMHO, it looks like someone wanted a 355 and settled for a 348 or a kit car. |

I like the kit. It really looks good. Like the Rim size but not the style..... Nice find.. Are you thinking of doing this?? I too think it's a Hamann body kit.. |

I'm fairly sure that's not a Hamann Motorsport bodykit. I think the wheel are too much - chuck the rear wing on the skip too. |

Looks like a diffusor. Saw that at a modified F40 at a track event in Spa. Will definitely increase downforce (Common problem with a 348) |

Lose the rear grill (go to the factory challenge grill), lose the wing, and lose the UGLY chrome wheels, and it looks good. Front and rear bumpers look good, and the best part is probably the elimination of the cheese graters. By the way, John, Koenig offers a twinturbo setup for the 348 if you are interested - 520hp and around $35K installed. www.koenig-specials.com Ernesto

Its not bad. I like the nose alot over the stock 348 exspecially if the ducts under the fog lights are functional. The back end looks like the Hamann 360's rear bumper. Where in the hell did my cheese graters go!!! Bottom line lose the wheels and the spoiler (too ricer) and add back in the strakes and I would think about buying the kit....now if only it would come with a twin turbo for my 348 as well at no added cost!! |

I would like to see the opinions of F-chat members about this Body Kit for the 348... This is NOT a KITCAR...it's a real 348 with aftermarket custom body pieces... I kinda like it....what do you think???
