I don't want to sound too mushy, but I thought I'd relate an experience about what makes this site so valuable.

I started my car up as normally on Saturday to warm it up. After about 10 minutes, the car died. Humm, how weird, it's never done that before. I went to restart it and it was dead. I immediately suspected a dead battery (the battery was with the car when I bought it, but I believe it is/was 7 years old, but cannot verify).

So, the bad news: I needed a new battery. The good news: it happened in my garage where I can solve the problem and check the chat room for battery replacement information.

I got on FerrariChat and searched for battery replacement for my 328. All the information I needed was there already: Optima Red top, size 34/78, even a price point ($120). Took me all of five minutes to get the information that would have taken me a few days to research by myself. Called around, turns out my local Costo has Optima red tops in that size for $89. Done deal.

Replaced the old with the new, car starts up faster than it did before.

Rob, as far as I am concerned your efforts are underappreciated, not just because of this incident, but for others I have not posted, thank you!
