OK John maybe not the best in the world but at the time I had mine put on, they were the best predictable handling tires I've tested for both street & track and compared them to a lot of major brand tires from Pirelli, Michelin, & Dunlop. I know BF Goodrich has a new series of tires but have not tried those yet, they feel softer but sticky tires can be unpredicatable at slipping points. With the AVS's I can actually slide through corners & feel the cars slipping point. I've done a lot of slaloms & plenty of drifting with this car and I must say the AVS's are in my trust. It really depends on how you drive your car in my opinion and tires are rated differently depending on your driving attitude. Test the car on the track and drift the car and smooth out of it to see how it reacts to slip and gripping points and you'll understand what differences I'm talking about in tire handling. |

Magoo - No the lock problem is still in existance...I have to take some more time this weekend and tinker with it some more. Modman - What makes you think the AVS's are the best on a 348 I personally like my BFGoodrichs much better and think they handle better. |

It looks like a bullet hole you would get if you cut someone off in South Beach or maybe it's just a place to put the rear radar detector... |

It's probably a tow hook hole in case the next accident that happens it may really be put to use! Nice AVS sports, you have chosen very wisely. On the 348, they are the best overall in handling perception. |

C'mon Guys, Give Martin a break here. He is still in shock about the rear ender. That hole looks like the ones I had in a old Chevy Nova I had in my younger days and the trunk had about 5 of those in it. Guess what they were from? I'll never tell so don't ask. |

I'm sorry to hear what happened to your car. The first thing you need to do is find a ferrari specialist body shop to over haul the rear bumper cover. You may have more damage that you can see. If a late model Benz gets rear ended it doesn't like it bad ($450.00) until you get the rear bumper off. The rear body panel, trunk, quarter panel, & a complete bumper on all new M Benz (C230, E230, S500) can be up to 2000 to repair. REMEMBER that insurance companies want to pay out the least amount to a claimant as possible. This is a hand car & most insurance field clam reps don't know how to write an estimate. I deal with this a lot on Bentleys & classic cars. Contact me if you need help. |

Paul, here is a funny one. I fu*ked up my front spoiler again (3rd time) getting into a parking lot yesterday. Nothing major, barely visible but there... |

Just had the car checked out: NOTHING. It is really unbelievable. Maybe I should have told her that she put that hole into my bumper.
But really she hit me right dead on and that did not even leave a mark in the paint. Really funny. The real damage is that I ripped the door so hard that I broke off the cable and Daniella's ears are still bleeding from using profound language! |

Martin, check your car VERY carefully. I had a ditzy girl in a pickup back into the front of my 308 last year. I thought the only damage was that the bumper had failed to spring back into place. Later I realized the turn signal lens had been cracked [when it fell out.] Months later I was having electrical nightmares. Weeks of trying to figure it out. I finally found that the headlight had been damaged and didn't quite open straight. This caused relays to trip and a wire got pinched etc. Believe it or not this led to all of the electrical problems. The girl had the nerve to offer me $20 if I promised not to tell her parents. Turns out the damage, while not serious was expensive. About $2000. |

Martin....Did this happen on Arthur Godfrey Road? I hope you retrieved her insurance and contact info anyway. I was involved in a similar situation years back, was hit, thought I had no damage, only to realize there was damage the following day to the tune of $ 1200.

I am standing in traffic and some mom tried to go from the right lane to make a left turn, blocking 3 lanes and some other mom in her Lexus truck, the big one, not the RX, runs right into my back humps me forward. Can you believe the damage on my car? NOTHING! I could not believe it. NOTHING! I was so upset that I started cursing like a sailor before I unbuckeled not realizing I had my friends 8year old next to me, then yanked the door open and actually broke the door handle. But there was NOTHING on the car. So to all of you that think a Ferrari is a fragile little thing...NOT! |
