Wayne, Yes it looked the same except without the white circles and numbers. The driver was Nick Longi from New York who had a Hilfiger Logo across his back. I was told by the crew that the car is owned by Hilfiger. |

Just saw another 512M replica in the FML. This 1 has a Daytona V12, asking $375k. BTW the 1995 512M is really monikered as the F512M |

Damn, that F40 is incredible. How often does your old man let you take it out for a drive/day? |

Bubba, please read the rest of this thread. You'll see that you are referring to a different model. |

Thanks again for the history ! The 512 doesnt have a brilliant career ! But then when a car looks this good and sounds as good as it does who cares ? ! |

Andrew, great pics. I especially like the close-up. If you're curious, here's some racing history on s/n 1044: 1970: Spa 1,000Km: Merzario/Schetty; 7th. Le Mans: Giunti/Vaccarella; DNF. Converted to M-specification and sold to Herbert Muller. 1971: Brands Hatch; 4th. Monza 1,000Km; 6th. Spa 1,000Km: Muller/Herzog; DNF. ADAC 1,000Km: Muller/Herzog; DNF. Osterreichring; DNF (accident). Inter-lagos; 3rd. Norisring; DNF (accident). Watkins Glen 6 Hours; DNF (accident). Lexington; 4th. Elkhart Lake; 10th. Donnybrook; DNF. 1972: Osterreichring; 4th. Hockenheim; 4th. Norisring; DNF. Nurburgring: very bad accident, DNF. All these races driven by Muller. Car rebuilt. 1973: Hockenheim: Muller; 6th. 1974: Silverstone; Kochert; ? |

A real, no-stories 512 M/S is worth somewhere between $1-2 million. This car, however is a different animal altogether. 512 S chassis #1034 was crashed and destroyed in 1970. In 1994, a new car was rebuilt around the original engine by Bob Houghton for a Mr. Heuberger. The car changed hands several times in the mid-90's and was refused entry into the Ferrari Shell Historic Challenge in 1996. The car is considered to be a replica. |

Probably a car with no story or racing successes. More info would be nice. Still, the 512M is only a track car that need to be trailered. The Enzo can be driven anywhere. |

As far as I know, here in the U.S. a 512 M sells for about 169K - 175K.. Only 75 of these were allowed in the U.S. out of 500 models.. I would think it would worth alot here in the states.. I think I would still get the ENZO before I get a TR..And I am a big Fan of the TR, Especially the 512 M....
