Hey, thanks for the link Steve! I think I'll order from them, much cheaper than picking it up from the dealer. Hey, Larry - Do you want to go in on the order? James |

James -- try: http://www.black-barts.com/page5.html for the chrome cavallinos. I just put the 110mm (FD/12) on the back of my TR replacing the stock black version. I also bought the 75mm (FD/11) to add to the front grill, but I'm waffling on using it. |

No my alternator problem is still there. Shouldn't be anything too bad. Mike would take care of it when he has time. He's just really busy. Yea, I have to get a chrome cavallino as well. Let me know if anyone can get them cheaper than $85 Hey, Larry maybe you can help me take out my alternator, heh :D Anyhow, that was an awesome rally. We'll hook up again. James |

James, Larry, Dan, I had such a fantastic time on Saturday that I was still dreaming about it on Sunday! I had a 911 cabriolet for 10 years and it's not nearly half the fun I had with you guys in one day! James: dim sum was a good idea for lunch. May be we can get Dan & Larry to join us next time. Dan, I'm pretty sure your wife would love dim sum. Dan: thanks for inviting us all to Paul's picnic. That was a great opportunity to get to know each other. And finally, Dan: thanks for showing me how a 348ts should be driven you're a damn good driver! BTW, thanks for pointing out all those things that I should have my car taken care off, I would of never noticed. I say we must do a monthly mini-rally. If owning a ferrari is this much fun, then I don't want to be deprived of it Julian |

Anybody in Chicago want to do a 'mini-rally'? |

Rick- I have had a 96 355 Spider for a little over a year and have not had any significant problems. It wouldn't start last month, but it was just a broken wire between the ignition system and the security system. Any Ferrari dealer could tell you details of the recalls and service advisories. As I understand there was a security system recall, and service advisories for brake lines and a heat shield around the exhaust system. The 355 actually has a pretty good reliability record compared to other Ferrari models. Fred |

Dan, Jullian & James, I enjoyed, looks like we will have to drag Bruce K. and other locals with us next outing. James did you solve the alt light flicker yet? You guys want to start planning the monthly mini-rally, say a soda/fries run. ps. I just gotta go for the Chrome Cavallino's >> Larry |

Larry, Jullian, James, The mini-rally was fun Saturday. Maybe next time you guys might be interested in doing a run to Pinnicles. The road is fun to drive with straightaways, tight curves and little traffic. It was nice meeting you guys and I had a good time. Dan |

Guys, sorry I missed the mini rally, but I was in Yosemite with the Ferrari Club of America on its annual trip there. What an adventure. We drove up there on Friday morning, got into the middle of a huge downpour that changed into a hailstorm just as we got into the park (hailstones, however small, hitting the Ferrari cause some major panic!). At last year's event, they had snow. Thirty eight Ferraris made the event -- including a 250 Lusso, a 330 GTS, a 246 Dino, lots of 308s, 355s and 360 Modenas, a few 348s, BBs, Testarossas, plus a couple of 550 Maranellos and 456GTs. The parking lot was quite an impresive sight to say the least! Returning on Sunday we had the opportunity to let the 355 stretch its legs a bit. Changing up into 6th at 7000 rpm sounds great and feels like the car is just starting to perform. 400 plus miles for the weekend and the car ran great. All in all, a great weekend. |

WOW, I didn't know there are so many "passionate" ferrari owners in the bay area. Let's get together at the park where Danny is going to be at: Kiely & Homestead. I'm meeting James at noon today for lunch and will drop by the park. "Mini-Rally" on Saturday it is !!! Julian |

Hey Guys, First, Mark Spencer @ VeloceSpeeDesign is a first rate Ferrari Guru & hell-of-nice-guy. I stop by his shop every other week to soap up some nuts & bolts wisdom without getting in the way. Second, sounds like several of you guys are in the area where I also live. Danny W. still looking for a mini-rally on Saturday? I live in Campbell, it's real closeby. I'd like to get to know some of the neighbor boys that also share the passion... >> Larry ('91 Ts) |

Julian, I'll be in Santa Clara on Saturday with my 348 attending a party at Kiely and Homestead. There is a park there. Wouldn't it be something if we started a "mini Ferrari rally" about 1:00 P.M. Dan |

Bruce, James Pai, a TR owner on this site, speaks highly of Mark Spencer, owner of VeloceSpeed. I've never met James but we're meeting this Saturday to cruise around and visit VeloceSpeed. James wants to introduce me to Mark as I'm a first time ferrari owner. Let me know if you want to join us. Julian |

Tom, Thanks. I bought my car from Ferrari of Los Gatos recently and I know what you mean about the store and its history. I've also been to the shop, talked to the service guys and have heard generally good things about them. I did hear from one guy who has had some bad experiences with them, so I'm still looking around. Have you looked at VeloceSpeed (or something like that)? The guy that runs it is an ex-employee of Ferrari Los Gatos, and now has his own shop about a mile from the Los Gatos service facility. It is a SMALL place, and hard to find. |

Bruce, I had Los Gatos Ferrari do the servicing. Henry has treated me very well over there. Although they are not cheap, they seem to be very thorough, and I think honest. They advised me of a small minor leak in one of the shocks that would need to taken care of at some point, but not necessary to do immediately. I just got the car back a couple of weeks ago from the 30K service, and it runs like a champ. I don't know to much about the dealership. Apparently it's been through allot of turmoil in the past, and I'm not crazy that they keep most of their inventory outside. I purchased my car at Ferrari of Orange County. I'd have it serviced with them, but that of course is not feasible. Hope that helps, Tom |

Tom, Who did your service? I just got a '98 355 and while it does not yet need any service, I want to have a shop/mechanic lined up. |

I have owned a 95 F355 GTB for the past year and a half. I purchased the car with 7500 miles on it, and now has 15K. Other than the scheduled maintenance (just had the 5 year/30K service) I have no problems, and it runs perfectly. |

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE WERE ANY MAJOR RECALLS OR ISSUES WITH THE 96 F355 . I HAVE HEARD THAT THE 95'S ARE VERY BAD YEARS. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? |
