Marcus, congrats on your first Ferrari drive. It is a totally different feeling when driving Ferraris. No wonders many owners are very passionate about their F-cars. Ferraris outside the US tend to depreciate a lot faster, even though they cost a lot more than the US when new. I.E. You can get a 1995 F355 for about US$75K here in Hong Kong, when it cost over US$200K when new. |

My friend will take some pictures before his uncle sells it and I will post then. We meant to take some, but all caught up in our emotions. |

My best friend's uncle had a white on camel F355 shipped from Dubai this week and I was able to drive it for about a half hour. Being my first Ferrari to drive I was very impressed with the gated shifter and it drove very well considering how hot it was in Houston. The Spedo was not converted yet, so it was kinda of hard how fast we were going at a glance(the fastest was 160km). We had the windows down to hear the winding of the engine at 8500 rpm and it was truly amazing! While driving I noticed the things that all of you talk about. 1) Wanting to race, 2) yelling at you to get your attention, 3) almost hitting the car trying to get a better look at it. I was all smiles and truly enjoying the time I had driving one of my favorite F-cars. The car only had 23,000 km, so it had low miles and ran like a gem! Driving is nothing like riding in the car, you feel connected to it especially being a six speed. This is the killer, my friend's uncle bought it for 62,000K w/ a 5,000K shipping and processing fee and will be selling it for a 100K, not a bad profit! Forza Ferrari! |
