The F355s are very sensitive to air pressure adjustments. With the current set of tires (Bridgestone S02s), my car likes 37 front and 32 rear (along with an extra 0.5 degree of rear camber.) If the rears are too high in pressure oversteer increasees, if the fronts are too low, the steering feels slopy and the car unresponsive. Given different tires, I would expect different tire pressures and maybe even different alignment to full neutralize the handling. By the way, Bridgestone makes 3 different 265/35 ZR S02s, one is for 911 Porsches, one for BMW M3s and one for Mercedes. I am currently on the one for 911s as it was the widest tread. |

In the April 2000 R&T Road Tests, Mario Andretti is test driving a 1999 355 Spider. He had the ntire pressure at the recommended 37 psi and went up to 45 psi and did not like that. He lowered it to 34 psi and his lap times improved by more than a second. He said decreasing the lower tire pressure increased the contact patch. Clark |

the user manual is quite detailed on this point, with a big table and all that jazz. for my tires the manual says 36 PSI Front 32 PSI Rear and that's what i run. curious to hear arguments if people think the manual settings are sub-optimal. when i received my car it was running lower than that. once i pumped them up a bit more to spec, i thought the ride was much better (tighter). doody. |

33 sounds too low. I have a 348 with 19" wheels and I am running 41 all around. I know this is a little high, but I like it like this. For best performance I would probably run my Michelin Pilot Sports at about 38, then tune from there. |

I have 33 in my fronts (the tag inside the door jam says 28 is recommended) and the tires look really low...i notice the owner's manual calls for 33. |
