Hmmm.... Is this the same Peter that has *completely* dissected a 'GT4, photographed the whole process, knows every square cm of the car? And then locks the keys in it? LOL Sorry, couldn't resist. Glad all worked out. Wish I could have been there. |

Thanks for the compliments guys... The others in the group were certainly impressed with my car, but I think they enjoyed the sound from my Borla more! |

I won't forget this day for a LONG time. This was organised by the B.C. Alfa Romeo Club, but any Italian car was welcomed. The FCA Region Director and I were representing "Ferrari" amongst the dozen of Alfas and Fiats. The drive started in North Vancouver and went up the Sea-To-Sky Hwy., past Squamish, to Brakendale along the Squamish Valley Road. Steve, in the green '74 Fiat Spyder, was our leader and set an INCREDIBLY FAST (70+ MPH) pace along this most beautiful two-lane road. I looked back in my mirror and Umberto in the white '89 Alfa Milano was rolling into the corners, but still held his own... The pics are of our stop at the Cheakamus River bridge. Our run back, we stopped at the Furry Creek Golf & Country Club for lunch buffet. I went back to my car afterwards to get some stuff and had accidentally LOCKED MY KEYS IN THE TRUNK!!! I embarrasingly relayed the info to the group and they pitched in to try to break into my GT4!! We could take the time to do this as the whole Hwy had to be shut down to clear an accident and traffic had been backed-up almost to Whistler!! I finally broke into my car with a metal coat-hanger, got my keys and we walked back to the Country Club. One of the Fiat guys got a pic of that and will send it to me so I'll post that later... We left at around 5:30pm and crawled back to Vancouver going 20 MPH (after the Hwy had been re-opened). But even with all of that, not a single car in our group had problems and with that traffic-jam, my temp gauge never went above 200°F. The weather was glorious, the drive was fantastic and I have a new-found respect for Fiat Spyders!
