I've seen Scott's Challenge grill. His car is dark blue (Pozzi?). I think his combination looked just fine. Personally, the body colored Challenge grill work best for dark cars. |

Amir--my challenge grill is painted body color. If you want an independent opinion of how it looks, ask/e-mail Willis. If you'd like me to send you a digital pic, let me know. My 360 had a paint bubble repaired under warranty (above the engine oil cooler)--while I've done no scientific comparison testing, I agree with others, more ventilation is better. I'm not sure it gets any dirtier with the grill--you have to clean the damn engine compartment all the time in either case. |

amir - i have emailed you a picture of a 360 with a challenge grill painted to match the body color. for some reason i can't figure out, the security settings on my browser won't allow me to upload a picture. if you could please post it here for others (and posterity) that'd be great. doody. |

I use a damp rag to clean the grill. Follow that up with Griot's vinyl and rubber dressing applied with a sponge. Deepens the color and make it easier and quicker to clean later on. |

Has anyone ever seen a bodycolor Challange Grill? I was wondering how it would look and are there any pics? Thanks |

It had a noticeable positive effect on my 360. Cooler running temp and cooler real quarter panels. A must have in hot climates. PS - a to clean though, as water gets all over the inside, as well as more dust and dirt. Ernesto |

my 355 has a challenge grill. i also have the standard solid grill to swap it out for and i have yet to do it. the freakin' engine bay generates so much heat that anything that even has a chance of decreasing the temperature in there has got to be a good thing. so the solid grill sits on the workbench gathering dust. i much prefer the aesthetics of the solid panel, but at the end of the day it's not like the challenge grill is butt-ugly or anything, and i'm convinced it is helping the longevity of the engine. my two non-scientific pennies. doody. |

Anything that will facilitate extra ventilation of the engine compartment would be helpful. It gets boiling hot back there after a drive. I have the Challenge grill on my 360. This topic has been discussed and debated before. Do a search on this site. |

I am wondering if anyone knows for certain whether or not the rear challenge grills really are effective in helping keep the engine bay cooler in a 360 Modena? I actually slightly prefer the look of the standard rear apron, as it makes the rear of the car look a bit more like a 575M. However, if it is truly the case that the rear challenge grill helps the engine bay stay cooler, then that's probably the way to go! Any advice/input is greatly appreciated, thanks! |
