Oh please, there shouldnt even be a comparison a mustang is just a pony but a Ferrari is a pranicing horse.
The mustang may pull away but at the end of the day the other guy has a FERRARI in his garage so who really won?

Credit for the last phrase goes to a fellow Ferrarichat member. I cant remember who wrote it but I like it

The *real* issue is "feel". The driver makes much of the difference. Ferrari is excellent in providing the driver the information he needs to do the job! "Lesser" cars may have better stats - e.g. 1/4 mile, lateral g's, etc., but how well can the driver take advantage of all the above?

I have owned a 5.0 and played with newer GT's on the road before. My 308QV Euro has never had a problem pulling away from one. In fact, I humiliated a 5.0 cobra through a turn in my '99 Mercury Cougar! The guy mouthed "no way!" as I passed that day.
Mustangs are cars built for kids to run from stoplight to stoplight while making a lot of noise. The brakes are awfull and the cornering is dangerous. If someone is driving one and wants to race you-- be careful. Try not to put the kid in a position where he is inclined to hurt himself.
Just my 2 cents :-)

I have shamed several Mustangs in my little VW GTI VR6! Always a pleasure to see the utter disbelief on their faces!

I used to own a "stang" and they would blow away the Ferrari on the straights, but would get rocked in the turns.

The brakes on those cars are pathetic at best. The fronts are little disc brakes and the backs are drums.

Does anyone have an opinion as to how a 308qv would do against a late 90s mustang gt(not a cobra) on a track. I know that the mustang has more power but I was was wondering how they would compare in the turns.
