That must have been a sweet trip. I think we'll all be glad to see those pictures, pictures are great. On another note, I think I would shoot myself if I lived in England. It has been that overcast, but not raining weather for like a week here (it actually rained today), I'm going insane. I never know when I can take out the ferrari cause I don't want to go out in the rain.

My day at Brooklands:

Here's the only remaining section of the close-to-100-year-old banked race track of Brooklands. The previous pictures are of the runway used when Vickers built planes for WWII. They demolished the banked track to make way for aircraft production buildings and the runway.

I am leaving for Alaska this Sunday the 27th for a week aboard the Norwegian Sky, Yes, the one that went crazy this past weekend and shook up the passengers. After I booked the cruise, Seattle had an earthquake and the ship goes crazy. I hope this is not an omen. I'll be back on the 4th.

Peter,

I had a Lotus Europa at one time and I would like to get a S7S3 or replica(Caterham maybe). I wouldn't worry what the rest think unless you get rid of the Ferrari....

Bring on the pics Buddy. However you're on your own re: the question about the English car. I don't think there's enough room to post the comments on this chat line. MAGOO

Well jet lag isn't too much of a problem, just sorting out all of the goodies that I got.

All of you are now warned, as I've taken about 160 photos on my digicam... you'll be seeing them!

Did so much, visited all of the usual tourist-stuff: Stonehenge, Salisbury, Portsmouth, London.

Got to Silverstone track and watched the qualifying race for FIA GT. Rafanelli 550 Maranello's were the best sounding out of all the cars! Saw awesome vintage cars there too, two Maserati Birdcages, etc...

I also got a chance to drive my buddy's Van Diemen Formula Ford at Brooklands. First time in a single-seater, amazingly fast considering its just got a push-rod 1600 lump in the back. But then again it only weighs about 850lbs...wet! At the same venue, his friends were there as well with their Lotus Seven replicas (Sylva Strikers). Before I got my Ferrari, I had considered making one. I have a good strong feeling now after driving one, that once my Ferrari is back on the road, something else would make its spot in the garage alongside it!! (would you folks mind if I get myself an english car? I remember Bret's comments in the past...).

More to come....

Tracking the hits by day, the weekends usually go down about 50-60%. Tells us where we're all logging in from...

anyway, bye, I've got to get back to work.

I can just about imagine the drive you had Bret. That's what I call a "spirit rejuvenator" drive.

Yeah really, I checked in here about noon and since then not much has changed. I went for a sweet ride today, like 150 miles with my dad with the top off the whole way. I went by FNA on the way to some nice roads, there was a Ferrari tractor trailer in front of me for awhile that was delivering cars I guess. It was all painted Rosso Corsa and had a huge prancing horse on the back doors, and then all the sponsors on the side. It might have been a Challenge trailer. At FNA they had a red 360 and a titanium 550 in the window. It was a nice ride.
