Howie is a long time respected user of FerrariChat.com and dealer of fine Ferraris. Some day he may even become an associate sponsor of FerrariChat.com. ;)

Bruce,
The answer to your question is from the first post. It was the sellers response to a question asked regarding airbags.

What's there to explain? Martin prefers to have boobs in his face rather than a cock.

If I were given the option, and after much deliberation, I would have to go in the same direction.

Christian,
Howie is on here for quite a long time. He deserves better! We all know he has nothing against competition.

Isn't that the same car I was bidding on just a few weeks ago? If the high bidder did not go through, why did you not sell it to me for my bid Mr. Sims?

I am willing and able! As for the cock comment, sorry I do not go that way, I like boobs too much!

Ok guys, I'm jumping in here now. NO ONE is allowed to give Howie any crap, NO ONE. I know Howie personally, he is a good friend of mine. I have never met anyone who cared about their customers as much as Exoticautobrokers.com -I have no affiliation with that company, but I sure as hell can tell you that Howard is the most honest and knowledgable car broker I have ever met. Hey Christian, don't be so quick to bring someone else down man!! :-)

I am amazed at the poor spelling and outright wrong information people have on expensive EBay auctions, Ferraris in particular. The most expensive thing I ever sold on EBay was a collection of Morgan silver dollars that I sold for $2500. I had a detailed description of each coin and it sold very quickly at my 'Buy It Now' price (too cheap?). I'm sure my attention to detail helped me have a satisfying transaction.

If I were to buy or sell a Ferrari I'd go out of my way to be sure my ad was accurate and well written. When I see ads that aren't, I always assume there's something wrong with the car and/or the seller.

Firstly, I do apologize to Mr. Sims. I was under the impression the gent running the aforementioned
auction was someone else.

Secondly, Christian wrote:

I take great offense to your statement, ESPECIALLY since you do not know our organization and never did any business with us. I have nothing against my "competition" as long as they are honest and forthright.

I request and look forward to your public apology.

Erik Sims,

If you post more auctions like this one, you will soon have a post of your own. Plus, if you are such a reputable business than why the hell would you tell a potential client to "suck your cock"? That is very funny. AND although your grammer seems somewhat rudimentary I commend you on your derision.

I think most of you agree with me that if you make a simple and innocent comment to someone that they made an error which buyers might want to know that you would not receive such a response. For someone to list such an expensive item that requires a lot of research and knowledge for someone to feel comfortable purchasing I would think they would be thankful that someone pointed out a mistake. They use very strong legal language about the details of the purchase. I would not want to be the seller and have someone demand a car with air bags and cruise control.
The fact that someone would list a car they supposedly own and not know its features or at least be careful enough to properly list the details of a $70,000+ item is slightly suspect. Having no reserve on the item is very slightly suspect. Replying to someone's simple observation that they had made a mistake with "suck my cock. How bout' that" is highly suspect.
Getting on this board and making your first post about jumping rope and curfew is just more of the same. Seems rather reminiscent of Chris Sawyerrr's responses to criticism of his raffle. I would have never posted here about a simple error in an auction listing, I only posted it because of the humorous response. I guess it is fitting that this is my 200th post. Most casual observers would note that I am not a jump roping kid and I happen to own a Ferrari nearly identical to the one he supposedly has. Now if only I could get those optional air bags and cruise control and start cursing at my clients maybe I could be as successful as him.

The nerve of the people on this board to be on the lookout for even the SLIGHTEST discrepancy when they are contemplating the potential purchase of a car costing over $50,000. People should be more trusting.

His spelling and grammar are so poor that I could see how he checked the wrong boxes.

Tomorrow I am going to tell all of my clients to "suck my cock" and see how long I keep them. I should probably put it in writing too just like this guy so there will be no mistake and it will circulate faster. Then when I post wrong information about cars I can tell my clients that a real buyer would know the truth anyway. I bet I could get a promotion :-)

I once found a guy on ebay who was selling skip shift eliminators for Vipers/Corvettes. Usually these cost 25-40$ but was selling them for 15-20$. What the buyer got was an appropriate resistor and instructions (value 25 cents) He also charged 5$ for shipping the "kit" which arrived in a standard envelope with 32 cents postage! I found out about this on a Viper Club thread.
I emailed all the bidders on these items with the information and referenced the thread. Sent a cc to him also. He was not to happy with me and threatened to ruin auctions for any items I put up for sale. I hate people who try to rip others off!

I like the car, but I am pretty sure it does not
come from the factory with Cruise control or a passenger side airbag, were these after-market add ons?

If so, did you actually put in the airbag yourself?

Thanks in advance

ebay won't do anything. Do you think they are making money by excluding people? In that respect they are quite disapointing but who knows maybe boozy droped the guy a line before and who knows what he wrote in this. Also, no surprise to me that "brokerofexotics" has something against the competition. The 0 feedback bidders are in most auctions now. I think most of them are not a fake, they are people like YOU who have never dealt on ebay but with the economy getting worse they are trying to safe some money here and there. I have done my worst deals on ebay with people who had a feedback around 100 and thought they are the kings and can do/sell/claim whatever they want.

It is amazing that there is a chat room that is aimed at pestering eBay auctions. Obviously you guys have too much time on your hands. Having fun with eBay Crooks how silly. I apologies for the initial response. I would just like to say I am tired of these young kids that have nothing better to do than critique information that a real Ferrari buyer would know anyway. My response was as childish as the emails that I received. I apologies for my response but would like these kids to go back to playing jump rope until there curfew. I would like to leave the Ferrari chat room to people who can talk about Ferraris as well as purchase them. Let me say that at no time was I trying to deceive the public by checking the box for cruise control and air bags because we at Formula 1 Imports pride ourselves on an open book policy and pay more money to show our inventory to the public. (We provide 30+ Photos per car)Thank you.

If you want a real laugh, check out his feedback and see what items he has purchsed (and for how much!). He's spent a grand total of $1.09 + s&h on eBay and he thinks someone's going to give him a 25% deposit upfront on a $40K+ F-car?
