Isn't that the truth, Martin?!

I paid the Owner's Site a visit today as well and downloaded the applicable .pdf documents for the Build Sheets, etc.

You're right -- after reviewing all the requirements it almost doesn't seem worth the hassle. Furthermore, I don't know where to find half of those numbers .

Think I'll save that project for a rainy day.

I think through the F-Owner Site you can order the built sheet. The specifications are so extreme that it barely pays to go through that. Taking pictures of VIN numbers in the most hidden places and engine numbers, tranny number etc. Good lock even locating these numbers.

Wow! Great info. Frank -- would love to get a hold of one of those types of window stickers. FNA ought to consider providing this service for a fee.

I did stumble across a .jpg image of a '85 (I think) 308 QV U.S. window sticker in the archives. Push come to shove, I may try a little PhotoShop magic (or even duplicate it for that matter), and replace the VIN, etc. with my own. Would be perfect to have for display at the local car shows; especially since the majority of the questions I get asked are how much, what year, what size engine, etc. .

Still would like to uncover some of the history of the car, however.

FYI I was able to obtain an original Window sticker for my 348 Spider from FNA after I posted a request on the Ferrari Owner's site. It even has the adhesive back you could peel off and stick on your window if you wanted. FNA did tell me that they were doing it as a favor and that they did not normally provide this service. I would foward a copy of the e-mail you get from the Ferrari Owner's site that suggest that you contact FNA to get one. That's what I did and it worked.

I emailed [email protected] and requested that since the build sheets for my car were not available on the site, would they provide me with whatever information was available. Not only did they give me the info regarding the car itself, they gave me additional information I would never have thought to ask for. The "window sticker" is really an american thing. Ask for the "build sheet" info.

Frank, I originally tried that route: sent an e-mail to the Owner's Site, and they responded days later with the following,
-------------------------------------------
Dear Mr. Eiland,
thanks for having contacted us.

In order to obtain information about the window sticker we kindly advise you to contact directly Ferrari North America. We provide you the phone number: 201 816 2600.

Thank you again for having come into contact with us. We remind you that Ferrari Owners' Site is at your complete disposal for further information.

Customer Service Ferrari Owners' Site
--------------------------------------

Hence, my call placed to FNA.

Have they added this feature to their site recently? Maybe I need to look into this. Thanks

Can I jump in line too? ...been trying to obtain a copy as well over the past few months. Placed a call to FNA but only got as far as the receptionist, who wasn't of much help. She faxed me a copy of the standard "Information Request Form"...oh well.

Did successfully track down the previous (original) owner who said that he lost all the paperwork, manuals, etc. when he relocated his company...sigh. He gave me the name of the dealership that serviced the car -- which I called -- but they did not want to be bothered.

So I've spent the last few months shelling out $$$ for manuals, pouches, etc.; and, at 56,000 miles, have had the car fully serviced thus beginning a fresh documented service history.

I know how all of you feel now -- not knowing anything about the history of your F-cars. There has to be a way of finding this information out. I, for one, could never imagine doing this unjustice to any future owner of one of my vehicles. Live and learn, I guess.

Ken Ross, I'll shoot you an e-mail as well -- hope you don't mind. Thanks.

Ken:
If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I'd love to get a copy of my original dealer sticker too. Let me know if this is possible.

Thanks,

Ken I tried to get mine as well, even went to FNA headquarters and they looked at me as if I was a nutjob. I would love to obtain a copy of my MSRP sticker, both for the 355 and the TR. Thanks

Here's more perspective. I saw my same car a 1990TR in the dealer showroom in May of 1991 listed for 212,000 with no room for dealing -- take it or leave it. and it sold. In reality the current 360 is cheaper for what you get performance wise and actually in terms of real dollars cheaper overall than the TR.

Thanks Steve,
Wow, 179K in 1991 dollars. That kind of puts the current 360 prices into perspective doesn't it?

Hello All,
Just looking for a web link to a site that provides the original sticker price on F-cars. I stumbled upon it a few months ago, but haven't been able to find my way back...
TIA
