Andrew, when you said the "last" GTO pic, I thought you were talking about the blue/yellow one towards the bottom of DB's post. I see now you're referring to the red one as the image is distorted enough to make the front wheel look tall and narrow. The funny thing is that you are wrong about the appearance of the car, it has a perfectly proportioned GTO body with standard sized Borranis (15X6L RW3711 front and 15X6.5L RW3715 rear), but, interestingly enough, you're right about the car. It is not a pure GTO. Matsuda does own 3 "real" GTOs, s/n's 3445 GT (blue/yellow), 3505 GT (pistachio green), and 4675 GT ('64 style factory rebody) but he also owns this car, s/n 3673 SA. There is a huge controversy over whether 3673 SA was originally bodied by the factory as a GTO and later rebodied by the factory as a SWB, or if it had the SWB body to begin with, but either way, it has looked like a SWB most of its life. In recieved its current coachwork in the late 80's in an effort to restore it to what some believe is its original appearance. The car is actually neither a GTO or a SWB, it is technically a 400 Superamerica but you can't tell by looking at it. Here is a better pic of the car:

the borranis are weird , the front is too high , it looks narrower than usual..it doesnt look like a real one . I know he has 3 real GTO , but this one snt one for sure. |

There is a video that was circulating a while back of a Ferrari Club of Japan member reaching 193mph in his F40 on the streets somewhere in Japan. Here is a still I found:

Owning a Ferrari in Japan? Wouldn't that be like trying to ride an elephant inside a shopping mall? Rather restrictive country for a Ferrari which really needs wide open spaces, wouldn't you say? |

Nice stuff! From what I've heard yellow F50's are rare. |

Thanks for sharing the pics, DB. Mr Matsuda has one of the most impressive Ferrari collections in the world, including a 250TR, 500TR, 250SWB and 3 GTOs! The blue/yellow GTO shown here is the same car that I'm sitting in in my profile photo. Great pics. Any more? |

well Roel,it's a matter of perspective, kind of an optical illusion depending on which angle you view the car.if you look closely at the red car you may also notice the "airflow guide"{?}inside the fender.maybe TR owners know the proper name for that airfoil.hope this helps. |

Hmm, maybe somebody could clear this up for me. When comparing the white and red testarossa, I noticed that the actual air-inlet in the door's striping is actually bigger on the red car compared to the white one. Also, it looks 'weird' on the white one... as if the white part in the stripes nearest to the back of the car shouldn't be there. Correct me if I'm wrong. |
