If you live in Dallas, I would be happy to help. I am a certified car nut, and just love to meet fellow brothers-in-arms. You can check out my website for more information:

PS - This is my first post. Hope to learn quite a bit here.

Thanks!
Chris.

I think you should ask ANY detailer if he uses Armor All. If he says yes, don't hire him. Once that stuff goes on, you'll never get it off.

There are some guys in Jersey called the Pateraks, known for their work on P cars; they did an incredible job on my black 550 barchetta in anticipation of the R&T shoot. All by hand, no machines, used those gas station lamps to illuminate the car and get every nit out. Car glowed purple when it was done; have their own line of products, recommend Wurth Zebra as detailing spray (workes good on windows, too) and apparently run detailing workshops for the totally obsessed. these guys are highly recommended, compared to "ordinary" detailers.

Eddie Fiuza
954-415-5170
comes with his truck and all supplies. Usually a full detail cost $ 350 and takes one full day.
Tell him I said hi.

There is also a show he is preparing for April 6th. A fund raiser for a church in Davie. Also there will be a fund raiser for a islam mosque which is done by my mechanic Bacchus on April 19th I believe.

Wanna come? e-mail me and I will send you some information.

I would only do with personal referral at this point.
I have a good guy down here in FLA.
He was also approached by several NYC guys at Cavallino Classic to do their collections up in NYC. He may do a trip up there for one or two weeks and do a bunch of cars.

Not cheap but worth it.

I really don't know of another way besides a personal referral. Would you hire a contractor without personal referrals? I wouldn't. You can't be the only doc in OR who wants to have his premium cars detailed. I'd ask other docs and see if you can't find someone who knows where to go. I found out about a great guy from a client who is fanatical about his Bentley Azure.

OK--First wash on the Pozzi Blue 360. This damn color may be as difficult as black. It has lots a minor issues (paint chips, swirl marks, scratches, etc.) I am having a body shop strip and repaint the front bumper, and properly deal with other chips. I have been researching my tail off, and feel like I have a handle on polishes/waxes/quick detailers/microfiber pads/cotton towels/clay bars--oh my God I'm dizzy.

Anyway, on to the question. I am happy to slavishly wash and wax my baby, but I'd like to have a careful professional get it into the best shape possible to give me "a leg up". I'll only let someone else touch it once, I promise. Other than a personal referral, how do I find a good detailer? Is there a professional association? Should I check with car clubs?
