FNA has Mfg date records on every car they imported. They don't have records or easy access to records on Euro models that they didn't import. I was told this 3 years ago when I bought my '82 Euro 308 GTS QV. I went thru the exercise of trying to confirm date of mfg. After a couple of months, and 2-3 phone calls to a nice young lady in FNA's SERVICE dept, I finally got eMAIL from a person in the factory saying it was 10-JAN-82! When I mentioned the date to the FerrariList, I had a crowd jump on me as the QV was introduced in Oct'82 and my S/N was 43825. I sent a request for a confirmation & mentioned the introduction. After a couple of weeks I got a Fax from FNA saying my car was built in Oct. 1982. | ||

I was actually looking to find out the exact date of manufacture. Door jam reads 1/84 but I wanted a day. | ||

I believe if you give any franchised dealer a vin# they can tell you the original selling dealer and when it went into service. Dave | ||
