The BMW/Porsche/Audi/VW dealerships where I work pay customers $100/mo to let us place large, semi-permanent advertising all over both sides of their car. Believe it or not, there are a lot of takers (all VW owners). For some folks, it's actually an alternative to voluntary surrender when they can no longer afford the payments. The extra $100 can make a big difference for someone with a $300 payment and limited income. But compare that to $5K/year for a windshield banner?

Rob,
want to know what you think about that. Does that mean you are going to pay us also $5,000 if we put a FerrariChat banner on the cars?

...so the guy thinks it is offensive to be gay....hm, now I like open minded people, sure I will advertise on his car for one year.

No wait, for $ 5,000 advertise for a year? rather buy my own 308 for $20K and advertise for 4 years!

Banner:

HOMOS ARE COOL !

Just kidding:-)

At first I thought....tossxr, then I thought 'can't blame the guy for trying'.

Amazed he has a REAL job too, perhaps it pays poorly. Suprised Northrop Grumman are happy for him to use what is effectively one of their e-mail addresses! I don't think Rolls-Royce Aero would be happy for me to do that for private gain, not that I'd try it.

There are some companies that do this. Charge a corp money and find people like us to sticker up our cars. Varying rates depending on size of ad. I thought of it several years ago as a way to pay for a car payment, but decided I didn't want my car covered with ads. That and I found other companies already doing it.

I had the same thought about magnetic door banners....
Only in my lame thought process I would charge $100.00 a day... then retire while living off the 36Grand and sleeping in the Ferrari.. :-)

I agree, that is a very interesting idea. It's a very attention-getting billboard.

This is a little different. However, I think the guy is dreaming. Must be someone who needs money to do a major service to the car.
