I believe the process Nick uses is he has the base photo put on paper and then alters the photo with media. In my eyes just another form of art, more modern, but certainly nice. Similar of the old masters first penceling out the piece and then fillng in the colors. I agree the new photoshop is a great program. These pictures are done awesome. We have come such a long ways in computers in only 10 years. And back in 1989 when I got my first fax machine ($3,000) I thought this was the pinnacle of technical advancement. |

Martin; that 360 is really nice indeed. But the 2 f40's ... they are photoshopped arent they? The background just doesnt look like it was painted by hand. talking backgrounds, I love what the guy did with the 360 painting there... beautiful. Peter: even though it's all computerwork, I love that watercolor rendering! Remove that date tag and give me that testarossa ass printed as a six foot wide poster will you? heheh

Martin, understand that yours are real paintings and ours are digital derivatives. I am just amazed at what today's software can accomplish from a digital photo. Unless ones see the physical media, one would be hard-pressed to tell that the "paintings" are actually altered digital photos. |

The difference guys is, that this is not a photoshop drawing but a real paiting with different forms of media. Pencil, watercolor, chaulk, crayons etc.

As long as we're sharing, photography is one of my hobbies and sometimes I use Photoshop to play around with my photos. Here's a sample:

I stumbled accross Nick a few weeks back when he was offering a 360 multi media art piece on eBay. I bought the piece and also bought a Lambo Diablo painting with the 360. I was so impressed that I immediately though about commissioning a piece for the South Beach event of the FOC that I am involved in. Giving that this is the 15th anniversary year of the Ferrari F40 we have labled the Savoy Event as such. I contacted Nick to paint a F40 in front of some palm trees. He came up with a sketch and I liked it so he painted the picture and the final result just arrived by mail. I am so impressed that I figured I had to share this with you guys. Nick does individual cars, so you can send him a picture of your car and he can make it into a very very nice framable art piece. Just want to share his e-mail: [email protected] He is located in Dallas TX. Check out these sketches of the F40 paiting I have commissioned: This is the final product I have received:
This is the 360 I have bought first:
