I just painted my whole frame gloss black, everywhere I could get to it. Glossy paint is stays cleaner and looks oh so nice. It's not like anyone ever sees the frame. I just repainted it to make sure that no surface rust, etc forms.

Lens, I have used the Permatex rubberized undercoating on my car and others and it dries properly and works very well. As long as the surface is dry you shouldn't have a problem. You can find it at all Auto stores.

Can anyone confirm that the factory-applied black undercoating is water-based? I want to touch up some areas under my car with Wurth products, but Ive heard (from carcareonline.com) that you shouldnt use the Hi-Build Sealant because its petroleum-based and will not dry when applied over water-based sealants. Wurths SKS is water-based, and a better choice.
