Thanks Rob -- The chat I was referencing http://www.radiocontrolzone.com/index.asp has the ability to be user selective! If I need an immediate response I turn it on to be contacted as soon as a post comes in. You are indeed correct, with all of the messages that are posted, I can see where F-Chat would get to be an e-mail nightmare! - however from a user perspective sometimes the treads I am watching are off the page and difficult to find?? Just a little constructive criticism -- You guys do a great Job -- Please keep up the Great Work!!

I'm testing a few things out. We have that functionality and the problem is it's either on for everyone or off. I think more people wouldn't want it because of how active FerrariChat.com is. There's people that post 3 messages a day and if 10-20 respond as is typical, then you may get 30-60 emails a day. I'll look at it though and request from the software company they have a per user selection option. With as many messages that are posted, it will overload the system too and maybe slow it down.
Trust me, if you ask a question or post a message people are interested in, then come back once a day and I'm sure you'll have several responses.
There's also the search functionality where you can look at what messages have been posted since your last login or even search to bring up all the threads you have posted a message too.

Is there a way so that when I ask a question on Ferrari Chat I will be notified via e-mail that there has been a response to my thread? I am a member of another chat that has this feature and it is very, very helpful! |
