Jason, the car stayed home this year. It got scratched up last year dispite having the cars roped off. Surprisingly, the crowd this year was fairly subdued and respectful. |

I would have loved to meet everyone from here. My wife and I were only there for about an hour. Since we don't have a Ferrari and we didn't know anyone except for Don and his wife, we didn't stay long. We just looked and drooled then proceded to some other car dealers on the way home. Willis, I don't remember seening your Modena. |

Nice pics Jason! Willis is right, we'll have to coordinate a Ferrarichat member's area at the show next year... P.S. Willis, the article I have on that Cannonball Daytona says that parts from it were used in S/N: 14065, a racing version called the: "Marathon Oil Daytona. No mention of the engine, but it would make sense as it could've been used as a spare... |

Jason, I didn't get to meet you. How long were you there? We really should have a designated FerrariChat meeting area next year. I loved the color on that Miura. Burns the retinas in person. I heard that the car went through a total restoration with some upgrades. |

I thought that I would share the pictures that I took just in case any were missed. I am starting to appreciate the Boxer style better and this one was a real nice example.
Even though this isn't a Ferrari, this has to be the nicest Miura out there.
Now if it were up to my wife, this car would have taken best of show. Just because it is her favorite.
Here is Don's beautiful Testarossa. Don and his wife, Charlene, are two of the nicest people you will ever meet, so if you have a chance to talk with them, do it.
And here is Don's future toy.
My wife and I drove up to Seattle on Saturday morning and made a whole weekend trip out of it. All we were going to do all weekend was look at beautiful cars, which we did. We went to the following dealerships on Saturday and Sunday on the way home; Ferrari of Seattle, Auto Werkes (shut down), Lamborghini of Bellevue (never found it but we were told it shut down), Park Place, Mini of Tacoma, and Aston Martin of Tacoma. I will have to say she never complained once and enjoyed it almost as much as I did. Here is a beautiful 575MM that was at Ferrari of Seattle.
Also at Ferrari of Seattle was this gorgeous 550 Barchetta. Number 441 I believe and my personal favorite.
After Ferrari of Seattle we stopped at Park Place and looked at this great looking, but very large Saleen S7.
Well I hope you guys enjoyed my summary of our trip this weekend and I look forward to doing it next year, car lots and all! |

Peter, these are fantastic pictures and thank-you for posting them. Charlene and I had a fantastic time and the Italian car and motorcycle owners are to be congratulated for the organization of the event. I saw the car of my dreams- the 512M of a fellow named Penske who also displayed a beautiful black 550. David, it was nice to meet you and thank-you for coming and introducing yourself. Your car looked great! Peter, we encountered some major rain on the drive back to Vancouver on Monday but the car ran well and I think that some moisture helps to tighten up the seals and rubber bits!! Willis, I'm sorrry that I didn't meet you. Anyway, congrats to the Pacific Northwest division of the FCA. We enjoyed the meet and hope to see you next year and also at Lonsdale Quay in Vancouver next June. Gary and Sue, we can't join you on the trip to Harrison Lake in two weeks as Charlene and I are going on a cruise to Alaska!!! Don. |

So David, you heard me all the way up? Nice... Unfortunately, times that by two hours and you'd understand why I'd need earplugs... Sorry Willis, no awards for me (must have been because of the dried spots of rain I had on the engine/turnk lids...). |

Peter GT4, nice pics. It was nice to meet you and and finally see your car. I am very impressed with what you have done with it. And yes, the Borla does give you quite the sound. I heard you all the way up the waterfront when you left! Hope you guys had a good drive back home. |

This is a show that is growing very fast now....and there is much more room on the pier to really display a lot more cars and it could get much bigger in the future. I didn't bring my 308....thought there would be too many there already.....brought my white '71 Alfa spider. I think this annual concours could really take off....there are some very nice cars in Seattle. The Lamborghini Muira was a fantastic restoration.....did anyone else check that car out before they stuck the "ropes" up? |

It was a great turn-out for Ferraris. The weather could've been better, but at least it didn't rain at the show (but rained along the drive down from Vancouver). I had a excellent time meeting and talking with Stewart C., David Schirmer, Donald G. and Willis. Ferrari was a featured marque and a display was made at the centre of the venue, with cars built in every decade of Ferrari's existance (one of which won a couple of awards at the show...). Enjoy the pics! (be patient, there's eight to download...): Jon Shirley's Ferrari transporter:
Don G.'s '91 TR and my GT4 among this line-up (we were the only Canucks at the show...)
Stewart's and David S' 308 GTB's
An awesome 250 Spyder (the day's award winner...)
A rare 500 Mondial and it's gorgeous badge
Old and new V-12's (both award winners...)
Many more Ferraris...
(I hope your drive back to Vancouver was okay today Donald. The rains have finally returned to the Northwest...). |
