Howie, Chiaro literally means "clearly," which in color terms translates to "bright." Probably every Italian car maker has at some time used "Chiaro" blue. To give you an idea of how many shades of blue have been used over the years, here is the list of blues used from 1965-1973: Azzurro Hyperion Azzurro La Plata Azzurro Met. Blu Blu Caracalla Blu Chiaro Blu Chiaro Met. Blu Dino Met. Blu Ferrari Blu Notte Blu Ortis Blu Porpora Blu Ribot Blu Sera Blu Sera Met. Blu Scuro Blu Tourbillon Blu Turchese So you can imagine how many there have been over the years. |

Thank you, all. Very helpful indeed and very much appreciated! BTW, I was under the impression that chiarro was a Lamborghini color. |

I did a bunch of research into Ferrari Blues when I was looking for theright colour to paint my car. If you go to a Dupont/PPG paint supplier the should have a big box of paint chips for every make and model of car. The set for Ferrari had about 15-20 varying shades of blue as well as about 50 or so different Reds. Pozzi, TDF, Sera, and Medio are all very similar shades of dark blue with slight or no metallic. NART blu is a dark with very metallic (the colour of my car - looks fantastic). Chiaro is a lighter shade and I can't remeberwhat the other light shades are called. I hope this helps |

They made a bunch of different color of blue over the years... some are, Blu Scurro Dino, Bleu Montecarlo, Blu Dino, Blu Sera, Blu Scuro, Blu Chiaro, Blu Medio, and that's just the tip of the iceberg... Someone on the board has an original paint chip sample pack, they might be able to fill the bunch that I missed. |

Serra is Italian for nightime, I'd imagine it is a dark blue. |

I have hear of Pozzi blue, TDF blue and know what they look like. Have you ever heard of Serra blue? What shade is Serra? (if there is such thing). Thank you! |
