I have just heard from Ed Triolo, Communications Director for
the Olive Garden/Rafanelli 550 GT Maranello team.
Ed is working with the organizers of the ALMS event taking place
at Laguna Seca (September 20-21) and host broadcaster NBC.
To this end, they are looking for a street version 550 Maranello to
ride alongside the racing version 550 GT Maranello while NBC tapes
a tour the teams will be doing around the Monterey Peninsula on Thursday
September 19th.
This is an event which helps promote the ALMS Laguna Seca event.
Last year, for example, they had a parade of the racing cars traveling
across the Golden Gate Bridge and around San Francisco which made
all the relevant TV shows and pre-race coverage.
We know someone in California would love to help out in this
regard and whomever takes part with their 550 Maranello will be given
credentials to the race from the Rafanelli team and they may also
enjoy the Olive Garden hospitality center at the race.
