The short time I owned my 360 (not F1) the gas guage never worked. At first the bars always indicated a full tank. They never moved. The dealer tried to fix it. Then the bars would only indicate 3/4 full but they would move downward. Ferrari is aware of the problem. But are they doing anything about it? The beep-beep was also a problem on the car the European press used for test drives. The press found the beep-beep happened more often on hilly turrain. In fact the early 1999 F1 clutch was prone to over heating on hilly courses. |

There are several reasons for the beeps one of which is clutch overheating. Some cars beep prematurely and some don't at all. I believe Ferrari is readying new software to remedy premature beeping and will replace the ECU's on the F1 cars. As to the gas gauge, the problem is related to a new US Federal manadate effective MY 2000. There is a new device which is supposed to prevent gas overfilling and spillage. Ferrari couldn't get this system to work right, as such both the fuel gauge and the overfilling prevention method do not work very well. Ferrari knows about this and will likely correct the problem soon. BTW, 1999 cars do not seem to suffer from a fuel gauge/overfilling problem. |

Ah, my friend, are we driving the same car???? mine was at the dealer last week (they were trying to fix the beep beep,) and I also asked them to look at the fuel gauge because the electronic bars didn't seem to function correctly Jason |

jason -here is another comment the dealer said to me -they talked to ferrari of NA -their comment was don,t worry if no lights come on you are ok -my comment was when i pay that much for a car i don,t want any beep beeps-on a second note-don,t know if you have this problem-my gas gage never indicates full-i am finding this is a common problem ,but ferrari has not addressed it yet-i recorded the beep beep sound for the dealer-also logged times and temp. it did not make a difference hot or cold days-i will keep you updated-but mine seems to have gone away-van |

Sorry, Just to elaborate a bit more, The car beeps intermittently, 99% of the time it is when the car is in 1st gear, very occasionaly it occurs in 2nd gear.....it is always at the bottom end of the rev range, whilst the car is engaging the clutch....I do not leave the car in gear whilst at lights etc...I always pop it into neutral.....and the clutch only has 8% (according to the Ferrari computer) wear....I also believe that the PIS? is set correctly |

Vanny, That is exactly it, it is the clutch temperature sensor...I live in the UK, so I can't imagine that ambient temperature is affecting it..... |

jason-need more info-i have a2000 360f1-when i picked the car up and in algar in philly -drove it back to buffalo no problem-then i started to get a beep beep when shiftying from 1st to second-no lights came on -it did not happen all the time-took it to the dealed in toronto-they said it was the clutch temperature sensor -made an adjustment-happened once after that -but now no more-the mechanic made a comment to me which i found interesting that in a hotter climate this problem will be more prevalent -for what it is worth |

I would like to know if any other 360 F1 owners are having the same problem as me.....in traffic, and when parking the car, the F1 gearbox constantly beeps....(I do not mean the reverse beep) It is driving me crazy, and I have had two dealers 'reset' the F1 box...it still does it....The box performs perfectly, but it keeps beeping(I am going to see if I can get the beep de-activated) |
