my mechanic was pretty bowled over when I told him I did a 1:01 at LRP. He told me I should get some sort of trophy when I break 1:00 in the 512TR :-)

This is the road car I am referring to. Pretty awesome to think u can do 1:00 at LRP with the AC & tunes on :-) Well not really but in theory u could.
The "hulk" is turning into a nice race car, cage is done, bodywork is coming along hopefully will b done by January for Cavallino. The race car should be doing low 0:50s at LRP when its done :-) The track record is 0:47 by a GTP car back in the early 90s

Hey, Will. Good to see you here.

Is this the "Street" 512TR of yours or the hulk that you once bought? Just curious.

I started the season around 1:05, always ran the Pirelli P Zero Challenge slicks. Before this weekend my best time was 1:03 with the old crappy brakes. I probably could have done a 0:59 with the new brakes but the track was very slippery from oil & gas from the vintage weekend just before my weekend, Also lots of traffic & I am still getting used to the new brakes so lower times r coming next season for sure.

Out of curiosity: what times did you run before the new brakes? and was this set of runs on usefully similar tires?

Congrats William! You are definitely having too much fun. My TR has been in the shop for two weeks now while I wait for parts, and I am bored to death. I am glad somebody else is having a good time with his Ferrari.

Got the old 512TR to do 1:01:56 at LRP today, was going pretty dam fast on the uphill, fast as I dared downhill braking at the 4.5, the new brakes r much better at LRP than stock & they never overheated once. The tires melted of course but I passed a Porsche 911 Turbo race car, 2 Z06s, a new 911 GT3 & a new 911 GT2 with 580hp vs my 460.
Now the brakes r great the engine was always great. Got to do some suspension work to get down to 0:59 or 0:58 with Matt :-)
