Ok, I'm going to send an email out to everyone on this list right now with my phone number and more info. If you don't get an email by this afternoon, let me know at [email protected]. I called and gave them a warning that we'll have 15-20 people, although they don't take reservations. She said a warning for 40-45 people had already come in. Although our meet time is 6:30, if a few people can get there earlier and get a table for 20, I would appreciate it. I'll get over as fast as I can, but I'll be watching the Challenge qualifying. Hopefully this cooler weather will last a fwe more weeks with just enough rain to resurrect my grass. If so the racing will be fast and furious at IRP as well as the Speedway. I wil have two Shadow F1 cars running in the historic group, Friday and Saturday, come by and get CLOSE to real race cars (even Ferraris). I wish they would let them RACE, contact the Speedway and complain ,please. | ||

Greg and I are really thinking about the midget racing. At least Indy hasn't fallen in the "P.C." trap. I mean, "small persons" have only so many opportunities in Hollywood. Why not race each other for a few dollars and entertain people at the same time. | ||

Friday evening there is a major Midget race at Indianapolis raceway park if you need anywhere to go. Also on saturday evening there will be motorcycle speedway racing at the new track on west Washington Street, 7:00 to about 9:30pm. well worth seeing. Art, they may have rental bike for you! | ||

I talked to fast times karting this evening. They have open racing every weekend. For $20 you get between 16 and 20 laps depending on how fast you are. They can put 8-9 of us on the track at a time. They will have a good crowd that weekend but the guy said it is a lot of fun watching the action on the track. Is this something people would be up for one night. I know it was talked about before. | ||

They really don't take reservations, but I'm talking with the manager right now to see what I can do. I've already heard from several people. If I haven't heard from you in email yet, but if you're interested in coming, please send me a note with your cell number and head count. Right now I'm planning on about 15 people, but will adjust if needed. If they don't hold our reservation or if it gets too crowded, we'll just play it by ear and move locations. There is Challenge qualifying from 4:30 to 5:00 I want to see. The latest my group will probably make it over to UJ's would be 6:30, but it may be earlier.
