Dave -
First thing - congratulations mate - the 550 needs this (hell do I know about that). Also can we make contact offline. I really want to know some detailed impressions are..... hmmmm. Is it OK to mail you - or vice versa?

P.S. Norman I've sent you an email at your yahoo address where you can link to some interesting video footage which I promised earlier.

Looking at www.cargraphic.com , I gather the exhaust is one made by Fuchs. At least, the 360 version appears to be that way. If so, this exhaust should be of first rate quality to say the least.

Here's mine: http://bedrossian.net/Ferrari/Fuchs&Horn.htm

Norman, look them up at http://www.cargraphicusa.com

Does it sound exactly like a Daytona? I think so, based on my memories of hearing a Daytone. Mind you, I do not own one, so it is purely subjective. My 550 is not as loud as a Daytona even after the new exhaust. I only replaced the mufflers; had I also bought their X-pipe replacement for the 550's resonator, it probably would be as loud. But it sure sounds similar in tone & snarl. I also thought about the Hamann, but, again, couldn't locate one to hear personally...so my search was not exactly scientific, but rather experiential...

Hope this helps, Norm.

Dave, I think the Daytona has THE BEST sound of any Ferrari I have heard. I also have a 550, and have been thinking of buying a Hamann exhaust. And then I see your posting. I have been told Hamann workmanship is excellent, and it sounds throatier than stock without giving you the Tubi resonance. I would love for my 550 to sound like a Daytona, though. Does your CarGraphic exhaust literally sound identical to a Daytona? What is the workmanship like? Who can I contact to purchase one?

Well, after 2+ years of owning my 550, I have finally enhanced the rather quiet OEM exhaust. I have never liked the Tubi on the 550 (although I think the Tubi in the 328 & 355 series sounds luscious--I even have one on my 328, thanks to Tino!).I always thought there was too much bass, and it droned way too much at idle & at low RPMS--and was too loud inside the car, IMO. So, I have lookied into others. Was tempted by the Stebro, but was unable to find someone who had one on a 550 to actually hear the sound.

I recently learned that CarGraphic, a German firm that has made exhausts & other aftermarket stuff for Porsches for years, was building exhausts for various Ferraris. My friend, SW, put one on his 550, and voila! FINALLY, a 550 that sounded like an old 365GTB Daytona!! So, I had one put on my car this past week.

WOW! The sound has that old Ferrari V12 "snarl" without being drony and definitely without killing your ears with bass at idle & low speeds/RPM. Can't wait for it to get broken in, and to take it on the track at Texas World Speedway next month!! BTW, the outlets look spectacular, and the German workmanship appears to be world-class. If I get around to taking pictures, I will post them here...
