Norwoods builds a 'replica' GTO that I would proudly drive. And I'd smoke any car that wanted to mess with me with the huge horsepower.

Has anyone driven one of these original cars and a replica to compare? even if its not a gto replica.

Remenber, when I say replica, I mean recreation or rebody...

There r several amazing shops in Modena, they will essentially build you Any 50s race car or probably any Ferrari you want & I mean an exact duplicate for several $M less than the original. There r ex Ferrari employees from the 50s who do this work, they have deals with local foundries & can even create a whole engine from scratch. Actually a lot of guys with real 50s racers have replica engines & trans that they use to race so they preserve the originals. WHen I was in 1 shop they had a '53 750 Monza they were in the process of building

How would such a recreation compare to the original driving wise?

Would it be the same balance, same experience, same performance?

theres a place in Modena that specializes in turning 330s into 50's racers. I could deal with a nice Testa Rossa for $100k or so instead of $4M

How do you feel about the recreation, rebody and replica 1962 GTOs created with a ferrari base model?

Do you get everything except dor the history and the original engine?

I have even seen one for sale that was based on a 330 and rebodied in the 80s by scaglietti.
