So far I've never seen a Ferrari driving down the street that wasn't yellow.

Go with RED!

Mitch, Ferrari's have leather seats regardless of any color it will be hot anyway. I've been in blk interior cars and light interior cars and they aren't that huge of a difference apart in heat temperature, it's the materials that makes a huge heat difference not the color. Besides I've seen more bad looking light interiors than dark naturally, it's hard to keep the light interior looking clean and besides I like the contrast in color. If you look at the yellow 348 spyder Martin posted the outside has a lot of blk trim so it would match with a blk interior and look even more sharper, but hey, that's my preference. I'm not saying tan is bad, to me tan belongs in a luxury car and doesn't look sporty in a bright color car such as red or tan and I definately would not have a tan interior on a silver color car either, yuk!.... The blk interior will bring out more of the exterior bright colors. The color I don't prefer anymore on the exterior is blk for many reasons and it only seems to look sharp in hazy weather.

The Yellow/Tan 355 looks ok. However, I like the Yellow/Black better. Especially if it has yellow seat stitching/piping. The only Yellow/Tan I like is on the 550's.

Everyone: Red/Tan, so that's why I would choose Yellow/Black.

Modified348ts (Modman) says that "the interior must be black"

I ask: "Have you ever gotten into a car with a black interior when its 113 degrees outside--in the shade? and the car is not parked in the shade?

I had that black interior in my Corvette GrandSport. Getting into the car on such a day woudl a) burn your bun, b) continue burning for 10 minutes, c) overpower any AC for a long time. Black may be beautiful, but its not worth it if you have Texas-like heat and no shady place to park. In such circumstances, the black will degrade faster due to its own self induced heat than lighter colors.

On the other hand: I used to think that all Ferraries should be Red/Tan or Red/Tobacco. Then I went to a DOH sponsered performance driving course. Lo and behold, there were $hitloads of red/tan,... to the point where almost any other color would be not only acceptable, but prefered.

But for me Red/Tan to Red/Tobacco but not quite Red/brown is still optimal.

I personally love yellow ext. which brings me to the tan interior. This combo is a grat combo but rarely seen. I have a 355 in that color combo as a consignment. Just awesome.

As for the general more preferred color: red/tan!

Red/beige of course. A lighter colour for the interior will make it look brighter and feel more spacious. Plus the interior has a mix of black and beige which makes it more interesting than a plain dull black.

Interior must be black! A tan interior looks bad when the leather gets worn and the carpet is more noticeably dirtier looking. Blk looks bad when the dust and swirls get to it. I like silver- blue - and then red. Metallic colors look very sharp to me. I used to like yellow but the Ferrari yellow is not bright as some yellows I've seen on Lambos.

I have never seen an ugly 348 Spider. They look awesome in all colors. I may be partial but my first pick is red/tan and yellow/black is a very very close second.

I honestly find red tiresome (no pun) but its called resale red for a reason. Everybody thinks the other guy wants it so they buy it for resale purposes. Yeah, the old race cars looked right in red, but alot of the GT's look terrible in that color (456). On a 348, red is ok, but i would go for a dark blue with tan, or silver with black (which is probably not too easy to find). My first F car was a 348 spider, black/tan; i've since had a silver 355, a white/red int. 328, a red/black boxer/tan int,a red/tan maranello and a black/black 550 B. Next car color=?

I vote for Red/Tan. My first Ferrari was a black and tan 308 which I really liked but when I decided to upgrade I wanted the traditional red/tan. I now have a red/tan 348 spider so I am likely biased.

Red is for Ferrari.....

Had a yellow one which I liked but my wife didn't. It was a harder color to sell also...IMO

Any color but red IMHO. A 348 Spider looks better in more subdued colors like silver, blue, black or green although yellow is OK. Just my $0.02 worth.

Which color is more preferred on a 348 Spider:

Red/Tan or Yellow/Black.

Also, any idea how many of each were produced/sent to U.S.?
