Not an expert on this but I've made some interesting observations on the market (asking prices) over recent years: TR's have dropped a LOT in the last two years. 1990+ TR's still command a premium but you can find good ones at $80k+. The older TR's came down to around $65-75K. Many are lower than that but usually not pristine at that price level (exceptions can be found if you look hard enough). However, I've noticed asking prices on 308 QV's have gone up! Don't know what they are actually selling for but it's discouraging for someone who is on the borderline of affording a QV (ie: myself) vs. the injected version. Book value (does ANYBODY go by book value?) is low to mid $30K for a good QV but prices I've seen are high $30's to high $40's. For that money, you could just pick up a good 328 which is a great value right now. Older 550's and 456's have also dropped by a lot vs. brand new. 355's and older 360's are plentiful on the market. Some good deals can be found. Best deals for entry level Ferraris has to be the Mondial. Not the most desirable (hence the low prices) but if you want that prancing horse in a garage and don't have a 360 budget, a Mondial is a great stepping stone Ferrari. I've seen the Mondial 8 go for $20K, the QV for low to mid $20's 3.2 coupe & cabrio's for low to upper $30K, and T versions anywhere from $40 to $55K. Personally, I'd opt for a 3.2 coupe if looking for a Mondial. To sum up, BUY NOW!! |

still good! prices have come down some, more on other models, but all that was predictable. What winter? I am in So Florida, that is when you can finally take the top down and drive!

I was wondering how dealer's and seller's were finding the curent marketplace for F-cars? Has the market slowed due to the economy? Your thoughts on the next 6 months with winter coming etc. for prices? Buyer's market or Seller's market? Etc...... Just curious. |
