Looks have very little to do with off road ability. As for the Aztec, the real reason why people hate its looks is it's profile. Look closely. In three quarter view from the rear it's profile nearly duplicates that of a garbage truck. Talk about subliminal messages! |

I don't know if you guys are looking at the same H2 the rest of the world is looking at. It is one fugly vehicle! I think the Chevy Tahoe (or whatever its called), on which its mechanicals are based, is better looking. Is the Aztec the best mid-size SUV out there? Ernesto |

Thank you Mr. 0011... I still love the X5, but the H2, despite what most people say, it is the best thing out there...... |

Maserati - "THINKING" - please don't do that, go back to building cars with Ferrari! Volvo - building SUV's the right way - with safety in mind (other cars, NOT just yours) H2 - a "GM parts bin SUV" - pure crapola for the 99.999999% of the drivers that need off roading capabilities like running over curbs when trying to park, or even driving over my car (which just last week almost happened, but I went off road to avoid it!) Even if it is designed very well and can still do the 60 degree incline like the H1, well... it still looks like a tin can to me. People need to learn how to drive these things instead of pushing them out the door so quickly. The car manufacturers make quite a bit on these body-kitted-trucks that are sold as farm utility vehicles (thus, they make even more dollars). What about the local shopping strips and malls where they put in an X number of "compact parking only" that I wouldn't dare put my little car in. Yet the majority of cars that are sold out there are these two lane hogging SUV's. Opinionated? Who me? Nahhhhh! |

Sounds fine. But I'd rather see a Ferrari (or Maser) four door first... |

I think it's bad. Would you go off-road (and far away from civilization) in an Italian vehicle? |

Like I said, the SUV that Ital design built was gorgeous, MUCH nicer than Porsche's Hideous Cayenne, I would say if u must have an SUV build the Italdesign proposal. |

The H2 will bury the original Hummer off road in everything besides running through the sand dunes. Hard to believe but true. It's better climbing rocks in the west and narrower through the woods of the east. Pick up any off road magazine from the last month or so and they'll have an article about it. But then if we wanted an off road capable SUV we'd get a Jeep. I'd be a real shame if Maserati made a SUV. |

Ernesto, I know (to me) The Bimmer is the best of the bunch when it comes to an upscale SUV, But if your looking for a true off road, go anywhere you want type of vehicle and dont mind spending 50-55K for it, that constitutes as exotic SUVin my book.. |

If you consider a re-bodied Chevy Tahoe an exotic SUV, then the Hummer H2 is for you! Otherwise, stick with BMW, Mercedes, and Range Rover. Ernesto |

Maserati is Ferrari, ItalDesign built a running Maserati SUV proposal, pretty nice. If Porsche has 1 Ferrari has to have 1 too I guess. As long as its called a Maser & not a Ferrari I dont mind |

Maserati considering adding sport-utility to vehicle lineup By JIM HENRY Automotive News NEW YORK -- Maserati S.p.A. might build a sport-utility. "We are thinking of something new to add to the lineup, something along the lines of a sport-utility, but with elegance, with performance, something that would be for leisure time," said Maurizio Parlato, the new CEO of Ferrari and Maserati North America. Maserati hopes to sell 10,000 cars a year worldwide by 2006, compared with an estimated 3,500 this year. U.S. sales should be about 6,000 by 2006, the company said. What is wrong ? Porsche and now Maserati ?
