LOL, it will probably cost another $50k to get it in proper condition. Dont buy cheap crap, Buy the most inexpensive car in the BEST condition, thats an important difference |

Interesting; but, if you notice, it has a "salvage" title. This, to me, is strictly a parts car. The guy states that he does this for a living. I can't imagine him restoring the car to the standard that anyone, that would be interested in keeping it, would. I'm sure he has cut a LOT of corners, to save, and make, more money. If it was an 88, with black/tan, I would buy it, and use it as a parts car for mine. |

I've seen 1 and heard of 2 others for that price range in the last 1-2 years. Not that I was in the market, nor would they be anywhere near the best condition cars, but the were TRs... -Ben |

Doug: I believe it was my car.(63,000 miles) Here is a picture of a $35K, 88 1/2 TR, as the dealer wanted to give me on trade, on a red BBi. While trying to sell it in the high $40's, I then went to $45,900 FIRM. It seems that it would sell for about $42-43K. I just couldn't do it......I ended up buying the Boxer outright.....even got a better deal. It is a buyers market, but, only to those sellers that are financially desperate.......who probably didn't maintain the car anyway.....buy one of these, and you will see what I mean!!!!!!! I just can't sell my TR for a price that I KNOW, I coudn't buy one for, in this nice condition, if I wanted to.

308's are 15-16k at the sale.tr's are running 35-40 depending on paperwork and year.35k cars are not unusual. It is bad out there.I turn away 308's at 15k cause they are to rough at these values to make road ready. When you buy a Fcar at a dealer auction. You have no ideal what you are getting into. Most dealers with rough 308's in inventory are using ebay.Beware.a tr at 35 k can easily be 50k+ in the first 6 months of ownership. Now if beater 308's are not 15k (I assume everybody thinks they are more).Well if this is true a good solid, service record car should not ever be less than 30k.Whats going on.I wont even mention the cars I see at 10-14k.ITS BAD. |

That is about what dealers offer in trade. Someone on this list decided to keep his because the dealer would only give him in the mid 30's on trade for a 355 if I recall. He tried to sell the car for high 40's and ended up keeping it. The car had some mileage (60's) but was very well maintained and driven regularly. |

I think it is the same guy who has a development in the Florida swaps for sale. I believe it is $1 per acre. He may have seen a $35k TR... but it was missing the engine, transmission, seats, doors, wheels, interior cabin, shocks, brakes, radiator, hood, read bonet, air conditioner, seat belts (the motorized kind) radio, Owners manual, agip oil, assorted nuts, bolts and the net used to drag behind the car to catch them, filters, hoses, belts, and the cup holder..wait f-cars do have cup holders...ash tray. That is a $35k TR
