Thanks David,
When I got out of the car in a restaurant parking lot to show the car to my buddies one guy yelled
out"How many OTHER clowns are going to exit?"We all had a good laugh.

My wife sold her 2003 SL500 a month ago and just bought a new Mini 2 weeks ago. Guess what? She likes the Mini better!!!! This car HANDLES!!! She bought Pepper White with a black top and we added black stripes. I feel like I should be teaching it to do tricks or something.

Dr. Weiner, great choice. There are several of them in my neighborhood, and they always bring a smile to my face. I imagine the smile is even bigger from behind the wheel! :-)

Have fun...

Congrats Doc!! Ive got one too. Love it.I ordered Red/White, 17in wheels and runflats(performance)and the 2 tone black and silver interior. People freak over the little bugger and its got great performance as well. I love the sound of the supercharger spooling up. This is a great car that makes you smile.
The cars are sold at MINI dealers usually but not always adjacent to a BMW dealer that bought the MINI dealer. Car is made in England and is 60% British parts. I paid 20,940 out the door. Have fun with yours if you get the keys back from the lady in the picture :-)

Beautiful Mini :-)

I love all the color options... I have seen a red one with a black and white checkered top that looked wonderful, very pleasing to the eye yet none of the "VW Beetle" goofiness...

Bruce,
Only at BMW SVT dealerships.(not all BMW dealerships)BMW required a separate showroom and not all SVT dealerships wished to comply and outlay big bucks.

Thanks all you guys.29 k is pricey but that's the reason it was sitting in the showroom .The sticker was 22k with leather and sunroof and the dealer added the body kit the wheels and 17" tires,6cd to jack up the price.
BUT I DON'T CARE I LOVE IT!

I met an older guy the other day driving a new Corvette convertable. I commented on his car and he said he had just wished he had bought one earlier, because he can't drive to it's full potential because of his physical condition. enjoy your money while you have it, you only live once!

That is one of the nicest Mini's I've seen, congrats!

Thanks guys.Yes the E46 is a keeper.Now I have to sell a '00 Jetta V6 GRX 5 spd with only 13.9 k mi- loaded.
Bruno,
So as not to have to wait 1 yr I went for this loaded model which brought the price up to 29K.It's a kick to drive especially on the switchbacks.Value for the bucks?? I really don't know or really care.At 68 yrs old I have to get in as much as possible as soon as possible!

Martin, I bought a Mini Cooper S two weeks ago for my wife on our 14th anniversary. Red/black. She went from an Excursion to a Mini, the largest to the smallest! (still has the Excursion for soccer duty)

We just had a Ferrari party at our house on Sunday with over 60 people and nearly 20 Ferrari's from a 275GTB/4 to 360 Spider to F355's to a F40.

No one paid any attention to the Ferrari's, but the Mini had a line of people waiting to drive it!

Good luck Martin, I suspect your drive from the dealership to your house may be the only time your wife will have let you drive it!

What a blast!!Walked into local BMW dealer and they had a deep metallic silver S with every conceivable option (blue leather,sunroof,6 cd,special wheels with 17" tires,sp body package etc)Test drove it-bought it and drove it home. Will try to add a pic with the little woman who thinks it's hers.Got a feeling this her device to drive the M3.
