Glad to know the model will be worth the money. My 550B was too. It was my first "car" I bought from a Ferrari dealer. So along with the model I've built up a relationship with many people there.

Ahhh....Ricky,

You have a REAL ferrari! Sweet 355. I'd be more happy with that rather than a model. I'm still working & saving for mine, maybe sell my custom 64 Chevy show truck project for a 308gtbQ. (If I can finish it on time.)

Ken,

You want to go west to Ft Worth, North Loop 820 area & exit Blue Mound Rd. From there, go left under 820 toward Ft Worth less than a mile to Meacham Blvd. Look for American Ironhorse Motor Cycle company. Across from the factory, turn right onto Meacham Blvd, & go 1/4 mile until you see the massive, Mattel complex. Just in case, the phone number is 817-302-3300. Let me know if they have more F1 stuff.

Enjoy
:-O

Ok, here's the deal. According to the CEO's office, Robert Eckert, of Mattel. They were expecting the cars sooner and Marketing of course shot their wad. They then were pushed back to December for the holidays. Now, they are looking at January to be on the shelves.

William,
Where is this place and do you know the hours? I would love to get my hands on a Ferrari puzzle and some other stuff. I paid $3.99 for my 1/64 P4.

For those in the North Texas area. I'm sure the Mattel Toy Warehouse will have a overstock. I was there last week to look for more Ferrari toys.

Here's a small list of what they have:

1/24 Ferrari f2001
1/43 assorted Ferrari cars with display case 348, 355, F40, F50, Daytona, 550, 512LM, etc...
Ferrari 360 & F1 puzzles
1/18 360 Modena coupe (red)
Ferrari F1 Barbie doll (dressed like Shumi)
1/64 assorted Ferrari Hot Wheels cars (I found a 330p4 for .99!)
etc...

Inventory changes on a daily basis, so It's still hard to say what may be out there, but one things for sure. You can save a bunch of money & the warehouse is getting stocked up for Christmas.

Kevin,
I believe that Ferrari has an exclusive deal with Mattel for 1/18 scale cars. BBR is going to make a 1/43 scale but it will probably cost over $200 as most BBR models do. As far as build quality of the Enzo model, rumor has it that it is the most detailed 1/18 scale Ferrari from Mattel.

Is any other company going to be making a 1/18 model? I have a Hotwheels 550B and I don't like the detail. I haven't seen the Hotwheels Enzo in person to know if it's better, but I was hoping for some options.

It's very strange. I called Mattel early last week after seeing the ad and not being able to locate it on the hotwheels website. They indicated that it would be there last Thursday. However, it's still not there.

A lot of $$ for full page marketing without any product is rediculous.

BTW, it's a $30 toy, don't be suckered into paying more on e-bay or anywhere else.

Has anybody seen a 1/18 scale Hotwheels Enzo anywhere? Hotwheels has actually been running full page ads for the car, but I can't find one anywhere. I even drove to the Mattel outlet last week to look for one with no luck.
