Thanks Brian and others...sort of thought $1k sounded high, but figured it came with the territory...just was curious "how much" territory . At present, I have no plans or intention to "concourse" the car at that level, just local and regional events for the fun of it. Funny you mentioned Gerald's name (among others)...I was just thinking about subscribing to the FML and contacting him about obtaining info. on the car. I've heard he's one of the best. As for the build sheet, perhaps it would be wise to just wait until the Owner's Site gets around to documenting my particular model year. |

If you have a 'historically significant' or a one-off car to restore for Pebble Beach then you will need the build sheets for documentation. For a 308 I would try the Ferrari Owner's site, Mike Sheehan, Gerald Roush, or some historian who tracks them. The info you get on a 308 build sheet wouldn't be worth $100 IMHO. |

The build sheet on most Corvettes built after 1966 is attached to the top of the gas tank, where they seem to survive for decades. But $1000 to get a copy of a 308 build sheet seems like first class fleecing. Did 308s really have that many options worth documenting? |

Is the "reach a round" included in that price? On the owners site you can get a build sheet, but I believe just for older units |

A build sheet is the detail of all options and equipment installed in that particular car, including model, paint, interior (the whole car). At least it is with my 78 Trans. This sheet follows the car through all phases of production. A garage that worked on the interior of the T/A found the build sheet as with all Firebirds under the front passenger seat. $1000 for it, maybe its gold plated. |

Not sure what exactly a "build sheet" is. Has anyone obtained one of these for their F-car? If so, what specifically does it contain? Just received a fax response from FNA regarding my 308QV (production date, delivery date, dealer, interior / exterior color), and they mentioned I could request one for a fee of $1,000.00 if I also supply them with registration info., several pictures (including vin plate, chassis plate, etc.). Was just curious what I'd be getting for $1k. Perhaps I should save the $$$ for future repair bills / upgrades for the 308 . Any thoughts? |
