Anyone out there give me some feed back on racing seats for 355. Send pictures. Has anyone replaced the steering wheel for a 355 and what are the legal parameters for disconnecting the airbag?

I think Bob and Dave are off base, just because I drive my car, I shouldn't have to skip lunch! I seldom have time to eat at a restaurant and I take my food back to my desk. I don't grab a coke every time I get in the car, but I sometimes need to transport one.

Good Point, Dave. But at least I won't spill my coffee when I get pulled over :-)

Drinking IS important to performance driving. Staying hydrated by drinking lot's of water keeps you more alert and responsive to situations as they come up....Having the air con on only further dehydrates you....I'm still trying to figure out where to put a cup holder in the 328. It was easy to slap one on the 308, just forward of the shifter. Not so on the 328...

I had one custom made to replace the Ash Tray. I don't see you guys making jokes about a car that comes with an ash try. You should be driving NOT SMOKING.

Funny, I have been thinking about this for the last couple weeks. I have a 348 and it has that square opening behind the change holder that would probably fit a big cup holder or 2 small cup holders. I have been thinking of making one myself, if I am successful I'll post pictures. Twice in the last week I've gotten drinks from McD's and had them leak into my lap. Rather embarrasing.
I can understand the opinion that these kind of cars are not minivans and therefore a cup holder may be slightly out of place, but I also believe that a Ferrari should be driven as much as possible and you have to have a place to put your beer!

Some of us end up driving the F-car to the office. It's nice to be able to pick up a decent cup, just to avoid the office crap. Not drinking in the car, just trying to transport the beverage to work. So..... In summary: 1) Drive boring car and pick up coffee, or 2) drive nice car and forget coffee. I don't see why we can't have choice 3) Drive nice car and pick up coffee.

TR's came stock with a change holder, I think the 3x8's did as well. I can say for %100 certainty that this "feature" has caused me some very undue greif, and will never again be used for it's intended perpose.....

and you want me to think about a cup holder - HA!

i straddle the fence on this one. after decades of extensive and regular coffee consumption i have developed a physiological need for this black gold on a regular basis (or migraines and other nastiness may ensue). yes, i am an addict. which car i choose to drive to work on a given day does not affect my brain chemistry (as it regards my caffeine "problem").

what i do is keep a really great insulated, sealable thermosy thingy that i got from Herrington (if memory serves). it's airtight so you can just lie it on the passenger seat and it doesn't leak at all no matter what. a lot of the E39 M5 guys use them - the cupholders on the M5 are finicky and this particular device fits them perfectly. i got rid of the M5 but kept the coffee delivery vehicle :-)

doody.

I have to agree with Dave on this one.... next thing you'll want is a change holder and
MPG computer with a "miles until empty" option.

Here's a suggestion, guys: when driving a SPORTS car with a STICK SHIFT that does NOT have cup holders...........
......................
.............................
.....................................
...........................................
DON'T DRINK IN THE CAR!!!!!!!

Why do you think there are no cupholders in cars in Europe? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller???

Good grief!!!

instead of holding a cup of hot coffee between your legs and risk burning your balls off (as I almost did), I found that the space between the handbrake and the door could be used as a temporary cup-holder in an emergency...

LMAO at Bruce! At 5-10, 115#, she's a "B" cup.

I was wondering about a cup holder today as I went through the drive thru at Taco Bell. I have to eat, and I drive through a lot. Not easy to hold a drink, shift, steer, etc.

Jeff,
Check out Beverly Hills Motors , I am looking for one also and they have a pretty nice looking one that fits in your center console.

Anyone know where to get a cupholder that looks good, holds more than a 12oz can and fits in the center console without drilling?

Thanks
