Yeah, i hope to do the race car course in july too sometime. I hope it gets my dad hooked on racing. Plus, i might as well get all the speeding out of my system in a controlled environment like a track.

I did the 2 day driving course at Lime Rock in May, followed by a one day car control clinic. I'm going back for the 3 day race course sometime in July.

Can't recommend it enough. you learn to push a car beyond its limits and then get out of trouble in a way you could never do on the street. We had one 18 year old with his dad (he had just passed his road test), and the kid clocked the fastest time on autocross. Father and son had a great time. My kids are taking this course before I let them start driving.

Definitely do it, and get your dad to tag along.

Thanks, yea, i live in Pleasantville, NY. Im about 15 mins away from ct. I really want to do the racing school. It looks like fun, and also very educational (in the fun kind of way). It also seems like it will help me learn to control a car. Which is good, considering i dont even have my license yet. But thats not my fault. I broke my arm in the last football game of the season, and i couldnt gripa sterrig wheel with a cast, also when i gfot that off, my arm wasnt strong enogh or had enough range of motion witrh all the hardware that had to go in it. Anyway, by the time i could drive again, the dmv was booked for 2 months, so hopefully i will pass on july 12th.

Tim, I live down in Brookfield CT part of the year, r u in CT also ? I did SB or Skippy School as insiders call it way back in 86 at LRP then I did a season of Formula Ford with them. I cant recommend it enough. It'll do more for your driving than buying any Ferrari. Cus if u cant drive well u just wont go fast.
Oh yeah, & its a lot of fun

Anyone here participate in it? Specifically, the one at LRP? I wanted to do it this summer wth my dad. Every summer we do something, last summer it was a 7 day rafting trip down the salmon river in idaho, the year before it was driving from a aba meeting in san jose to the grand canyon. Hopefully, it will get him hooked on racing. I sent away for the brochure, and it looks interesting. Oh man, so much stuff this summer- work, apalachia service project (colleges love it), football, and this.
