Nika, if this guy hit your vehicle he is obligated to pay for the damage. If it had perfect Ferrari yellow paint prior to him hitting it he must pay to have it repaired to its previous condition. |

I hear you - last Valentine's I had a new Jag drive into the back of my Cherokee. Need a new bumper BUT the worse part is getting the perfect FERRARI YELLOW paint for it! If only he knew how pricey the repair job is going to be!!! I can;t in good faith get the guy to pay for my Ferrari Yellow fetish now can I? (sigh) |

It's a 20 year old Chrysler..I can understand a 20 year old volvo and espiecally a 20 year ferrari or porsche but a 20 year old chrysler? It can be registered as an antique! imagine a chrysler antique...it would be the only one in existence..the 2 words strike me as an oxy-moron LOL jason |

On the other side of the coin, that old Chrysler might have been that person's only means of transportation, which means it is MUCH MORE IMPORTANT to him than most Ferraris are to their owners. If your Ferrari conks out, most Ferrari owners can hop in one of their other cars because they are fortunate enough to be able to afford several cars. An old beater might very well be another person's sole means of transportation, and its loss could be a great personal and financial setback. |

Ron, I think you totaled out that 1981-82 Chrysler. The repair exceeds the cars value. |

Jim, Yesterday morning I bumped a person in front of me in my altima (daily driver).. He just decided to stop and I dumped him.. There was no damage to my car at all, but his bumper had a dimple on it..NO BIG DEAL..This guy was driving a piece of crap 1981-82 Chrysler.. He walks out of the car and says, "look what you did to my car!!!".. I look at him and said I have a body shop that can have it fixed in ten minutes.. We exchanged numbers (nothing more) and will meet Sat to repair his bumper... After I drove off I said to myself, if I had a Ferrari it would have been a whole different story.. I mean accident report, hospital, helicopters, evening news, sue.. It would have been ugly.... Just thought me to be a bit more cautious, especially when driving a Ferrari..... |

Crashed my jeep into a telephone pole yesterday when backing up rather fast! Knocked the bumper in 'bout 4 inches and the plastic ground effect thing is toast. Minor damage, but if I was in an F-car.....the weather in Dallas has been superb so no doubt I would have been driving it. This is how I keep myself sane and justify not owning a f-car yet! |
