Ed Salla, I hate to say it but you're right! Some of these mufflers are way overpriced for what they are and they are merely just silencers wrapped in stainless steel and after experimenting with the Tubi and the muffler I installed, mine worked out better in power and sound, I removed 2 cats out of 4 and the Tubi muffler that was in it and put a free flow twin stainless muffler and man, it sounded monstrous, like 2 Ferraris and a muscle car and I absoulutely love it! when I'm on the freeway people driving hear me and move out of the way! Sounds like a formula one muscle car coming your way....

If it's going to show, a Tubi's polished stainless is fabulous. If it's not going to show (like on a US 308) then the Stebro has comparable sound and power, and is about half the price because it doesn't have the high polish. www.stebro.net

I'll back Adam...his exhaust sounds awesome...I still giggle when I think about how obnoxious (in a good way) it is...You will definitely know a Ferrari beast is coming/going.

For a TR, the best sound is from the Koenig racing exhaust that I have. It sounds like a Ferrari should. While the Tubi is a nice sound, it is just a little louder than the stock.

The best exhaust is the one you make yourself.
Check out the string titled, "Flowmaster 308 muffler project complete."

Hutch:

I never knew that your car could go past 50! I am impressed. It was good to see you and everyone else in Morristown for the show.

The Koenig on Adam Goldman's 86TR sounds ferocious!! I was behind him in my 308, we were both doing 70-75, and he stomped on it. Whoa what a sound!!!

I always here Tubi mentioned as a great product. what about Borla, Hamman, Koenig and any others that I forget? Is one really better than the other or is it just sound and personal preference?

Also, do they still make them for 80's TR's or do you have to find some hidden stash.
