Jim, These wheels are very unusual. They are Etoiles. You'll see only a few sets around. Mine, I hand stripped and polished to a high gleam. I spent about 8 hours each on them but I think they look GREAT. They replace my factory wheels which I still have, (don't know why). There is another guy on Ferrarichat that has some in their original gold background. Here's my car wearing them.

Jeff. on your site there is a pic of a 308 with nice wheels you say. Do you know the brand? HRE discontinued theirs. haven't seen Compomotive's in person. Not sure of other manufacturers. |

Damn Jeff, the picture of your engine is amazing!!! I wish mine looked like that but I just don't have the time. Did you do this during a rebuild or while it was still in the car? BTW...I have a nice flannel cover that came with my car (85 Euro) when I bought it that I don't use. If your interested, I'd be happy to make you a good deal on it. I know...how about a trade? You make my engine shine like yours and the cover is free??? No? OK - I'll take cash...let me know. |

Jeff, Dont quite understand your question! At www.owners.ferrari.com you can log on their site. You have to give them the data for your Ferrari (VIN and so on) and after checking everything you get your access code to the site (Couple of days later). Then you go to the Limited Edition section and order the cover. For the 308 a cover costs 230 Euro without shipping by the way. Con saluti cordialissimi, Jens Haller |

Id like to explore the possibility of buying one from the guy on the owners site. It sounds like he has what I'm looking for. Unfortunatley, his e-mail address doesn't work, nor does his fax #. These are the only two ways to get in touch with him. Does anyone know how to contact this guy??

For seat covers, I'd go with the Cavallino logo on tan cloth, available from the Ferrari dealers, not too expensive. That's what I've got on my 308/QV |

Hey Jeff, good to hear from you! Another option is the tan flannel variety cover for indoor use. I purchased one (CoverCraft brand?) from www.autoseattle.com about a year ago, and it works great. Has a nice soft flannel backing. You can get an optional storage bag as well. Their item info. is: cov-flan-lg C2684 - Covercraft - Tan Flannel - Custom Fit Car Cover - Large - Tan - '85 Ferrari 308 GTSI zbag Covercraft - storage bag Total with shipping was around $200.00 I also purchased a leather steering wheel cover from them. It was black (but they have other colors) and is made by Wheelskins. You have to "sew" it on to the wheel (takes about 15 to 30 minutes). Their item info. is: whe-custom Wheelskins - Custom size - Leather Steering Wheel Cover - 14" X 3 5/8" - Black - '85 Ferrari 308 GTSI Total with shipping was around $40.00 As for the seat covers, I opted for genuine sheepskin (love the look and feel). Can't remember off-hand where I purchased -- think it was Rocky Mountain Sheepskin (or something along those lines). I've also seen them advertised in many other places (like www.blueribbonmotoring.com). They were not cheap, however...around $400-$500 is average. Only dilemma is, now that I've redyed the interior, I don't want to put the covers back on .

Jeff, You can buy really good covers directly from the Ferrari Owners Site. They are tailored for the model including bags for the side mirrors and come with a travelbag with a Ferrari logo on the side. The car covers can be ordered in rosso corsa or giallo and have a large Cavallino on the front hood area. A small Cavallino is at the motor compartment. Bought mine for 350 Euro at my local Ferrari Dealer but on the Owners Page they are much cheaper (Sadly Ferrari charges much too much for the delivery). Look up at the Site, its easy to order.
