TR-3B, cam and head work, pretty fast. 66 Lotus Elan S2, head work and cams, fast, nimble, you to wear it rather than sit in it. |

Forgot, I also had a Porsche 911 Targa Turbo, factory, one of 333 cars build. That car was stolen while I was on my honeymoon. That baby was fast as hell. Went one day from Monte Carlo back to Frankfurt, through 4 Countries in 6 1/2 hours. That is 600 Miles (1000Km)with gas stops and through the tunels of the Alps and 3 passport controls. 5 days later the car was gone. Ended up in Russia as I was told by the police a few months later. The insurance company took 2 years to pay me. They claimed that I had this arranged because I was in the car business. Even raided my parents house. Bastards.... |

Larry; the answer to your question is: The TR is a great car. I had the car in 1991 when it was brand new. I drove the car for a few months and then sold it in my dealership. So did I with most of my cars back then, except my Z-1, which I drove for a year and a half until I had a bitter fight with BMW about warranty issues. The TR is definetely the faster car. I drove the TR 190 Miles per hour on the german Autobahn. Talking about fun! The best I was able to do with the 348 was 155 Mph coming from Sebring back to Miami this spring. Both are great cars. I believe that the TR needs more maintenance vs the 348. And service is more expensive. I drive my Ferrari daily and enjoy the car. I do not care for miles on the car as I want to keep this car forever and just add to them instead of selling and buying another one. My next car will likely be another TR, 1990 to 1991. I try to buy my cars when the depreciation is almost over. The TR's will not fall below $50K, not will the 348 or the 328 fall below $45K. I remember that we bought 328's in 1991 for that much and since then the price has not moved. Same on the 308. Before a new F comes to our family I will have to buy a new house with a biggerr garage or burn down the neighbors house and build a garage there. First choice! Anybody with suggestions except the 5gal of gas and a match...? just kidding! |

Rijk, How did you like your 400i. It seems like this car is a stepchild, but it is a luxurious car. What a interior! Comfort galore. What are your pros and cons on the car? Thanks |

308GTSqv is the only neat car I ever owned. When I drive the jeep I just wish I was in the Ferrari, for the most part at least, sometimes it's nice cause I don't have to worry about it. |
