Ah, another tangent, this convo has gone from will's racecar to losing weight to working out. i'll add my .02. Jim, i have an ab workout that will get alot more done than 200 crunches and it only takes 12-15 minutes. Crunches will only work the middle of your abs. The morning after the first time my coach made us do this workout i felt it in muscles i never new i had, and im very athletic! Im supposed to do it every night, but i dont have the time, i get it done 3 times a week. its been 2.5 weeks and i already see a differance AND my rowing technique is better after a long time because my abs dont tire as fast so i have better slide control. Its hard to explain what some of the exersizes are though, but if anyone rows they will know what im talking about. Seriously though, most gyms have ergometers. learn how to use them right (it isnt that hard at all because you dont have to have perfect technique on them) and you will get such a good workout,as long as you remeber that legs do most of the work, us guys tend to have a problem with trying to use all upper body when using the legs can make u get more done with minimal effort. |

Hey Manu- I take it you don't want fries & chicken nuggets on Sunday, which is a pity it's my kids' No. 1 choice and they're choosing the venue So just what does Nlarge enlarge then? You can't see me but I just sprayed coffee all over my keyboard when I read that. You never told me, and boy am I going to have some fun with that one. Will it make your butt cheeks assymetric if you work a heavy clutch? ps IIRC both ornithine & creatine are metabolic intermediates (amino acid synthesis?). Will have to get my old text books out |

William/Jim - I take a supplement called N-large (standard meal replacement...yadda yadda). But a real find was ZMA - excellent for cutting recovery times and stops muscles being chronically sore the day after a heavy lifting session. Try it!! Jim that's one f-ing good achievement - thing is I want to get bigger - say 200lbs at 8% bodyfat (lol - yeah right ) At the mo - I'm about 175lbs at 12% - 5"10 height. P.S. Will WTF is ornithine? P.P.S How many reps on 225 - and Jim - do you ever squat/deadlift? "Ferrari"chat is funny.... look at the tangent we've gone off at.

a friend of mine who is a sports medicine DR recommended Creatine & Ornithine, He takes them himself & he is pretty big. I've been using it on & off for years & it does work IF you do the other stuff. Running is key, I do 40, 3 or 4 x a week plus diet is also crucial, tuna's not so bad when u get used to it |

William/Manu: Skip all the creatine and crap. I lost 36 pounds in about 2.5 months when I moved up to Boston. Weighed 218 down to 182. And I put on muscle too so probably "lost" more weight. Here was my routine which is very light. Run 1 or 1.5 miles a day. I hate running, but this was the key. Bench 185 about 4 sets 10 reps. Or do 5 sets 20 reps in pushups. Curls, 4 sets 25 to 35 pounds per arm with dumbells or curl bar. Crunches: 200 Leg stretches just for flexibility. Meals: Ate Total ceral with a banana and skim milk for breakfast. Ate turkey sandwich and fat free yogurt for lunch. Ate same for dinner or something equivelent. Drank water continuously all day. 1 day a week I ate as much of whatever I wanted. Would eat a whole pan of brownies or ice cream. basically following the fit for life book in my own way. Dropped 36 lbs, 3 inches in waist and got some real nice shape in arms, chest and abs. |

William - I really can't wait until your car is finished! It WILL be monstrously fast!!! Manu P.S. Do you think that Creatine really works? Might actually look into it - Tuna sucks - great food for training though! |

I was just kidding about the "real car" comment, guys. I think William knows that, though. Yeah, the black angus was been gone for a long time, and they have been cracking down on those type of establishments for years. Feel free to give me a call next time you come down William, there are still other places you can visit, but of course non comparable to the black angus. Modman, I believe the Skyline can produce more power than the Supra, and its 2.6L engine is almost legendary. When I went to Japan I saw 1,200rwhp street skylines running around. It was crazy (I posted a link to my Japan Photo Album here previously with those pics). They also had that red 360 you posted a pic of. But to answer your question, no, I haven't sold my Supra. Can't seem to get around to doing it. I need at least one fast car around. I was thinking of picking up an IS300 and popping in a 800hp Supra engine for the hell of it, though... Ernesto

Ernesto, is it one of these? what real car you talkin about? Did you sell your car? the Supra? I remember seeing someone posting a Supra saying something like "no subsitution for technology" or something like that. Can the Supra modded up outdo any Japanese sports car that's highly modded up? There are too many supped up Japanese cars like the Skyline GTR and RX7's and it's hard to tell what they can do to it's limits. And I'm not talking of gutted interior cars I've seen in mags.... |

Bruce, My Grandfather donated that Gym to Bridgeport U Michael, Ive been going to the gym 6 days a week, benching 225#, taking creatine & ornithine, running 40 minutes 3 or 4 times a week and eating lots of tune & salad. most important thing however I think has been skipping dinner, It sucks but you dont miss it after a while. Cant do that diet during racing season or when I am staying at my parents house though |

Bruce, that would be Hubbell Inc, we make diverse high quality industrial & commercial grade electrical products Michael, Havent weighed her yet so I wont know exactly, but as you know the TR doors are pretty heavy, body guy says he must have taken 100# out of each door!!! I imagine the interior has to weigh at least 400-500# including the stereo, heater, instruments, + they told me there was a Ton of sound insulation in the car & all that leather is none too light. I hope I can get her down to around 2700#. I just took 15# off myself, hope to drop another 15# off the driver soon |

Jim is correct, somebody crashed it at Watkins Glen & another dealer in PA bought the car & I bought it from him. The rear fender flares are going on soon as are the air intakes set into the top of the rear fenders. I just bought a rear R tail light & a rear bumper for it. fuel cell is already in it. & you can see the nice fat NASCAR style cage. Hopefully the bodywork will be done soon , it will be painted light silver with my company logo which is orange & black. Then the engine goes back in, hoping for 500hp with very little mods, no muffler motronic, maybe bigger injectors, better intake, etc. Then lastly some nice big brakes & new suspension including Penske shocks all around. The front suspension is almost done, they basically just kept the Ferrari A arms & uprights & everything else is like an SCCA GT1 car. SHould be Monstrously fast |

Just wondering but, what is the story? Did you crash it then decide to turn it into a race car? Is that how the front got like that? What are you planning to do in the future?

I have some good digital pics of the 512TR racer during the buildup. After the debacle last night with the brake photos I'd like to ask if any1 can post these for me as Jim was so kind to do for me. Seems my pics r too big & I'm not talented enough to post them yet, thanks I'll give it a try anyways
