Well since I am in the business. It's call over subscription. They either had a fiber outage that made the connection to the east coast and the south run slower. Or, they turned up a big custoemr without expanding thier network. When they see the frame switch at 60% untilization, it time to buy a couple new OC192 switches. Fiber can run at any speed, it is the termintated equipment that determines which speed it runs at.

Very slow in the morning, I thought it was going to lock up. The banner maybe the cause of the problem.

yes UUnet was/is a wcom company. maybe their books show they have alot of bandwidth, but in reality they just have a phone cord stretched across the room.

Yes, I just found out UU Net has been having problems. Our server is in Seattle. Weren't or aren't they a WorldCom company? You can do a "tracert www.ferrarichat.com" at your command (DOS) prompt to see the route and the time it takes.

Yes, I noticed it just last night, but sometimes it only lasts a short while. This morning it was really slow and it's only sites on my server, so of course I'm working with the host to get things fixed. I'll keep everyone updated.

Sorry for the inconvienance, traffic hasn't increased significantly or I haven't changed the code around, so it should be an easy fix on their end.
