I'm glad to hear that our guys were able to help another car guy in distress. Have fun on your cruise next weekend. Sorry that I'll be missing it. Did you ever come on our cruises with the Lambo guys up to Santa Barbara with us? They were aa ton of fun. Say hi to Henry Chin (from Brad with the Viper GTS Coupe) if you see him. He got to take my car around the block for a spin at the Italiano Show last year. Take care, Brad |

True Car Guys like all cars and are able to recognize the differences and understands that the passion one shares for one marque is not necessarily shared by others. It does not make their car nor the person any better, just different. I would have stopped and offered assistance even if it were a Yugo. |

Only if Enzo was under 100K I would take it. Show me a Ferrari that has 480RWTQ and does not cost as much as my house. I know that everybody wants thier car to be the best. Corvettes are great too. For some reason I like big American cars maybe because I'm from Europe. Now take a Viper to Europe and park it next to F50 and you'll see what people like more. It is the same here, you would want Armani abut in Europe Levis jeans are considered better and cost more. I like all fast cars and have no problems hanging out with Ferrari or Supra guys. The problem that I see with some Ferrari guys is that they think of their cars as a product of God and in a real life they paid 10X more to what the car is worth. All that you pay for is status. The same goes for Viper but this status does not cost as much. Look at Corvette that can be sold for under 50K and can be just as fast as Ferrari or Viper but we all want something different and that costs money. |

I have a good feeling about all "car people." It could've been a Vette club, Mustang or PT Cruisers - most likely any of them would have helped. Naturally, I'm glad it was Vipers that came to the rescue. Good story. Not so sure I would count on the ricers though. |

Honestly I would take a 308 over a viper. Unless I could sell it. Then I would buy a newer ferrari. |

tommy, no matter how down to earth Viper guys are, or how fine the car is, I'd take a 360 over it ANY day. Nice story. |

True Tommy, but I am sure there are lots of people that would take a Viper over a similarly priced Ferrari. |

i don't think anyone really has a "problem" with vipers, i just think ferrari owners get somewhat annoyed (including myself) when people try and make too many comparisons. they're both great cars but just different. personally, it makes no difference to me that a viper may be able to beat my 360 0-60 or in the 1/4 mile! there isn't a person out there (ok, maybe a couple), given the choice, would take a viper over a 360 or 550. is there??!?!?!?! |

Some folks who make the effort to join a car club might have a "complex" pertaining to the superiority of that particular brand/model of car. Strange, isn't it? Which is better? Depends on the purpose. Wouldn't mind having both, though. |

You paid them alright. If you watch the Viper forum your car will be shown on there on the side of the road with Viper guys fixing the Ferrari that the owner couldn't. I really like Viper guys and I hang out with the Viper club alot but they sure have a superiority complex when the conversation turns to Ferraris. We all know which car is better don't we. |

thats awesome. Glad to know theres some nice people out there. Yesterday I was in a rush and needed gas. I filled the tank and forgot to close the gas cap cover. 3 cars, all girls stopped within one minute at a green light to inform me that i forgot to put the cover on, all with a smile. I think it might have something to do with my car but it made me smile nevertheless. |

While driving up to our vacation house in Lake Arrowhead yesterday, I struck a boulder on a blind turn (a rock any other car would have not even noticed) and it bent the plate that covers the throttle linkage between the front tires. Needless to say the throttle got stuck and I had to pull over. After trying to remember every curse word I knew and trying to guess the proper angle to chuck my damned Nextel cell phone off the mountain because of no signal, a fleet of 15 to 20 vipers parks right next to me on the side of the road. All the drivers got out of the cars and came to investigate. I explained the situation and was about to ask for a lift to a phone when 4 guys had the 308 on JACK STANDS and were climbing under the car to remove the plate. Another guy whips out a mallet and bangs the plate into a flat shape again. They reinstalled it. With a fresh liquid gasket and while were getting ready to drive off, I offered lunch and cash for payment but one guy just smiled and said, "You already paided us back. We got photos of us fixing a Ferrari." I just had to share. |
