Somewhere in the 102,xxx or 103,xxx VIN range Ferrari changed from bronze valve guides to Steel valve guides. Unless you take the 355 to the track or drive at red line on the streets often, there is little to wory about. Ferrari has been generous in fixing these problems here int he states. In addition, the headers used on 95 F355s are subject to failure. So check if the particular car has original headers or have they already been fixed. |

kim, $150K for a 95 or 95 is way too much money. i cant comment on kris matheson but overall ferrari of ontario is pretty good. i've had two ferrari's (355 and 360) and both have been serviced there. be prepared for some expensive service though. dont get your inspection done anywhere else other than ferrari of ontario, they are the only authorized dealer in ontario and will stand by their inspection. i wouldn't even consider a C4S as an alternative.....maybe a turbo |

James: Is there any website for used ferrari in Calgary? If I can buy the car there, it would be great, cuz you know Alberta only charge 7% of tax. Ricky: I would definitely buy a F355. I love the sound of it. I am so excited about getting one soon. Actually, I have to wait another year to get one, but I think it's good time to search on Fcars and get ready for it!!! |

supposedly the early 355 had soft valves. My car had them but they were replaced by the dealer so i viewed that as a positive. I have no idea if there are pros and cons of getting a US car from a canadian perspective. The 95 sound a bit throatier and i'm pretty sure OBD II was a 1996- detail. I think low $90s is a good price for a clean 95 with 15,000ish miles. Just my $.02 PS. I would go with the 355 |

Kim, There was a 1995 355 here in Calgary a few months ago. Yellow on black with high km's. I forget how many now, but I think it was 60,000km on it. The owner wanted $90,000 CAD which seemed like a good deal. |

I am looking to buy 95 or 96 F355 B which my budget allowed. I am planning to spend CAD$150K (about $100K in USD). Anyone in Ontario have bought Ferrari from Ferrari of Ontario? How are the dealers, especially Kris Matheson, and services? Also can anyone recommend me a very good ferrari mechanic in Ontario? ( I want to get private inspection before I purchase a Ferrari.) Anyone in Canada bought their Ferrari outside of Canada? I searched price on 95-96 F355Bs in US and found that they are about $94K. What kinds of advantages and disadvantages do I get if I buy Ferrari in US and bring it to Canada? Is there anything I should look out for? (i.e. one particular model year has more problems, telltale problem signs by looking at the engine or other, etc) I've already searched on f355s in this site, so I know there were some problems on early F355s but I want to know more about it. Any views would be GREATLY appreciated Thanks Kim from Toronto [email protected] p.s Would you rather buy 94 F348 or 996 C4S and save some money?
